The high-capacity gun magazine ban goes into effect July 1, 2017, and the language of the ban contained in SB 1446 leaves no question as to the limited options for owners of such magazines:
A person who, prior to July 1, 2017, legally possesses a large-capacity magazine shall dispose of that magazine by any of the following means: (1) Remove the large-capacity magazine from the state. (2) Prior to July 1, 2017, sell the large-capacity magazine to a licensed firearms dealer. (3) Destroy the large-capacity magazine. (4) Surrender the large-capacity magazine to a law enforcement agency for destruction.

When a law is passed that ignores the right of a man to protect himself from danger, let alone when it rejects our inalienable rights as acknowledged in our Constitution, that law and any others of its like are null and void on their face and the lawful man is well within his rights to refuse to obey them.
I will not obey, I will not comply. Any weapons that I had previously acquired will never be willingly surrendered. In fact, they were lost long ago in an unfortunate boating accident.
Molon Labe.
The best thing to do is get the hell out of Kalifornia ASAP.
Then I suppose the next question should be: how does one establish a minimal "resident" presence in NV? At least, one on paper without jumping through hoops?
(5) Disassemble the magazines down to individual components and distribute the components among friends or family so one party has the magazine shells, one party has the floorplates and followers and another party has the springs. This is entirely legal.
Also there is a mechanical device known as "Bullet Button Reloaded" whose existence was kept quiet until after the law was signed. It allows you to modify your AR to be "featureless" so it does not fall under the new law and does not require registration as an "assault weapon." It goes on sale tomorrow July 5th
The men with the butterfly nets need to come for him.
It's every bit as capable as the AR-15/M4.
Amen, brother!

>> “So now your mass shooter will have a 12 gauge or a 357 mag. Lovely.” <<
Mass shooters will have whatever they damn please. They don’t have to obey any laws.

Wake up, Americans. The government is aiming to disarm you, so you will no longer be a threat to them.
The elite are attempting to solidify their power in perpetuity. Will you allow them to take over and leave you a slave to their whims?
Some of us are constrained by limited finances and limited mobility from leaving, among other reasons. Kind of like when you are stationed in a location that you are not fond of: you are there, you do not have the option of leaving, and so the best thing you can do is explore ways to make your enforced stay as comfortable as possible without endangering others who may depend upon you.
And if the occasional rule, regulation, or local law needs to be bypassed (*cough, alcohol, cough*) or ignored...
See nothing, say nothing.
We all know a rag tag bunch of insurgents/rebels/freedom fighters is no match for the military. Look how quickly the Soviets took over Afghanistan and then we took it over and..............oh, wait.
The Red Coats are Coming!
Thank you for the suggestion, however at about 1k per month that is not an easy or cheap option and not one I could afford at this time, if ever.
I was hoping someone could recommend a less expensive option based upon their experiences with or in the state.
Cheers.
:)
Naked tyranny. If the people stand for this all is lost.
“I just bought a scary rifle here.”
If it’s an AR, you can search `Midway USA AR-15 parts schematic’ and get a dandy AR showing all the replacement parts, from #1 to 101.
What you said.
It is a fact that the Second Amendment is about the
people having the ability to defend themselves against
a tyrannical government (re: The Federalist #46 etal)
If ALL of the SCOTUS recognized that fact then Brown,
Newsom, and the rest of the “crimiticians” would never
get away with limiting firearm magazines and ammo
purchases.
One has already been designed. Pull the pin, break open the rifle, press the new magazine release, close rifle, press in new magazine.
Reminds me of the gun turn in from the movie VIVA ZAPATA.
