Macy's Stock in Free Fall Since Dissing Trump
WorldNetDaily ^ | May 27, 2016 | Staff

Corporate America is learning a lesson: Don’t cross Donald Trump.

One year ago, Trump upended American politics when he declared he was a candidate for president.

Macy’s promptly declared it was cutting ties and dumping Trump’s clothing line because of “disparaging” remarks about Mexicans.

Trump fired back, declaring the company supports illegal immigration. His supporters even shredded their Macy’s credit cards and tens of thousands called to complain about the company’s cave to political correctness.

Trump himself also called for a boycott of the company.

Macy’s is not the only department store whose stock is dropping. The online shopping is hurting the retailers.

When retailers put themselves on the wrong side of political issues, the negative impact on their earnings is even greater.

I'm not a guru, but my thoughts are, No.

Simply because Macy's is a tiny cog in a big wheel. Retail sales.

Apple on the other hand is a big wheel in the entire machine of personal computers and phones. Apple controls 40% of the smart phone market and 7.4% of the worldwide personal computer market.

” . .along with the sewage they are pushing *spewing* onto our culture.”

Well said, aided by drinking the MSM swill and the godless dreck that passes for Movies/Television entertainment,

Its way past time to turn it all off,

” It always amazes me that American businesses think it’s good business to side against America.”

All the major corporations have institutionalized “social justice” policies by creating within their organization senior VP of social justice. These positions are always held by some minority type or woman who has been thoroughly indoctrinated in political correctness and they are the activist type so they are quick to strike out with press releases at whoever violates their Creed, regardless of the financial consequences to the company. And the CEO is afraid to overrule them because they are the sainted minorities.

Macy’s decided to be “politically correct” before they did their assault on Trump. We won’t even set foot in their store(s) anymore at the malls. May they reap the liberal shoppers they crave (the ones on welfare, food stamps and five-finger discounts).

Went in the Apple Store on a Friday afternoon and it was empty

Historically, this is a quiet time for Apple:

Note that their fiscal year ends on September 30. So, we just started Q4-15, on Apple's financial calendar.

Here's another graph that breaks down revenue by product:

But, the originator of this one has adjusted it to match the calendar that you and I use -- we just started Q3. They haven't released any new products recently, and people are waiting for the iPhone 7 before committing. Ditto for the MacBook and iPad.

Even tho I use a Mac as a work station and a PC for lap work I will not buy anything from that organization again. My wife switch to a Toshiba laptop and really likes. Has a full keyboard which is nice.

People switching from Apple to Windows seems to have a short memory and forget the part where Gates gave 20 million to Hillary. Might as well just donate to her directly and cut out the middle man.

Liberals were so smug when Macys dumped Trump, but they didn’t bother to support the store. Nothing worse than a high level brand being run into the ground by an idiot boss. Target included.

Sooooo, it is OK to not sell Trump’s merchandise.
But it is criminal not sell cake or anything to LGBT perverts?
WTF???

Trump should sue Macys, same law.

It would be interesting a year from when these Gope Thugs went after Trump, to see how many people have cancelled subscriptions.

I’m sure a similar chart exists for Bill Kristol’s Influence.

...and George Will, Jonah Goldberg, Erick Ericson, et. al.

That one year stock chart really shows the impact of their self inflicted Macycide.

Macys should make nice—nice with Trump—Even Megyn Kelly did this. They need to get him on board and sell his clothing line, ties, vodka, steaks, golf balls and Trump Water etc... They need to patch things up now—and not wait til he is elected president of the USA. Think what Trump could do from the White House? Time for some of the leaders of Macy’s to make a trip to Trump Tower —hat in hand— and board the Trump Train.

I have never, and will never, own an Apple product. I decided that many years ago, because Steve Jobs was the biggest asshole in history. Apparently his personality lives on in the culture of Apple.

The shareholders should have a big confab with the morons who'd decided this, from the tip-top down to the axe-grinding flunky who made the recommendation and/or threatened the company with action from some NGO -- and feed them all feetfirst into a live wood-chipper. Of course, as always, I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Most major retailers are trading way down this year, not just Macy’s.

Target stock is also in a free fall and they didn’t cross Trump. The lesson is to not to disrespect your customers.
