Neil Cavuto, an anchor for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, is recovering from open heart surgery.
In a statement, Fox News said that Cavuto had the operation Monday at a New York City hospital and came through with "flying colors."
The journalist was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1997.
Cavuto has been off the air since May 31. Fox said Tuesday that he's scheduled to return to hosting his trio of shows on the news and business channels later this year.

Best Wishes for the bestest, fastest recovery Mr. Cavuto
Prayers up for a speedy and complete recovery! Hurry back Mr. Cavuto!
My daughter in law went through this. You will hate the scar. You will get tired early but you will recover and feel stronger.Neil your my fav -always has been.Just saying.I know your not reading this.
My awesome friend and his mom made a long drive to see me in the hospital, before they put me under. He and I were friends, then in the Marine Corps together, friends again, falling out and now we’re back to friends. They brought me a personalized Bible. I still have it on my nightstand.
The surgical team couldn’t re-start my heart. They tried and tried. One last attempt was made, and it took.
I knew something had to be up...since he’d been off of his show for some time, now.
Prayers up.
Rest and recover sir. I respect and enjoy your work!
Not really
Those first few days after leaving the pods and going to heart floor and then home are brutal
First shower
First crap
Just walking around with no wind
Pain meds really do help and family and still being alive
Sounds like his was not an emergency...mine were 11 months apart ....the second purely elective
It sucks it out of you
Yer heart really races first few days....it’s so stressed from being sewn on
Tires you out
Whoopie is good though with an understanding wife...you never feel more alive right then

Just my experience with it....
That is too bad. I hope he has a good recovery. Then I hope he has the sense to retire. That life will kill you.
