Vanity: Survivor of Orlando "Pulse" Club asks God to spare him
06/13/2016 | Wbarmy

One of the survivors, a guy named Alamo told the press "My first thought was, 'Oh my God, I'm going to die," Alamo said, his voice very quiet. "I was praying to God that I would live to see another day. I couldn't believe this was happening."

“And who gets to decide which parts are translated correctly and which parts are not? Are you wise enough to know which ones God meant and which scriptures He did not?”

Each individual gets to decide what they want to believe about spirituality.

Forcing or hating others that don’t believe exactly what you believe isn’t helping anyone along their spiritual journey.

God will show them the way. Even if their way is to act as a warning to others in this life...

The young girl singer Christina Grimmie who was killed the night before in Orlando wrote a song that explains this...”I bet you don’t curse God”

How New Agey that sounds.

And when you stand in front of God, and He says what your path should have been, will you argue with Him about “your” understanding of your spirituality?

No force, no hate, but Jesus isn’t about a spiritual journey, He is about Redemption and forgiveness. You can feel about your spirituality all you want, but without His forgiveness, it won’t make a bit of difference.

I used to be a complete Atheist and rejected the very idea of “God”. Then He was able to show me exactly what I needed to see and tailored it for MY own specific journey. I can’t translate the incredible profoundness of what I experienced to anyone else’s path and I believe God intends for us to each see the big picture in our own way. The path is as unique as each person.

It is far easier to believe when NOBODY tells you exactly what path to travel and you learn on your own. Even though I now see, I don’t preach and encourage people to experience life as they want to and see 100% for themselves so there can be no doubt once He reveals it all.

For some people, the Bible and Church feels right and shows the path. For others, their path to enlightenment is a lifetime of crime and sin (and yes, eventually redemption and forgiveness)

You had the choice to go there, you had the choice to partake of their sins, and you had the choice to leave.

Some still have to learn the hard way.

I'm a Gay Activist, and After Orlando, I Have Switched My Vote to Trump
I'm also sad that the events of Orlando have shattered my political beliefs, as I can no longer swear allegiance to a peace-love-and-unicorns progressive philosophy that only helps to get my fellow queers killed. Yes, there is a war between religious fundamentalism and the spirit of love and tolerance. But we progressives here in America still labor under the delusion that the religion we need to combat is Christianity. But that's a strawman opponent, and has been so for decades. Since the 1990s, Christian extremists have essentially lost all their power, and are now toothless nonplayers in the "culture wars." Meanwhile, Muslim extremists, with guns, murder us, and on the left our only response is to bleat about "Islamophobia" and jump through hoops trying to explain away the self-evident religious motivation for the killings...

I hear you and see that you care for sound doctrine. That’s good. I hope this man does come to Christ. Maybe this event was a beginning of his eyes being opened.

Satan believes in God. God is looking for a relationship. I believed in God for 43 years and I believed Jesus died for my sins. I was 43 when God introduced Himself to me and I was born again into a personal relationship with Him. A lost person doesn't have to be an atheist or a Muslim. He can be a pew sitter sitting next to you in church. The Scripture tells us there will be those that say "Didn't we cast out demons and prophesy in your name?" and Jesus will answer," I never knew you". He is obviously speaking to people that believe they are saved church people. It's always a good thing to check your Holy Spirit oil dipstick to make sure that you are what God is looking for. The virgins that lacked enough oil had some, just not enough. They were told to go where they buy and sell and get some. This obviously refers to the End Times with the AntiChrist. How many "Christians" that believe they are saved will be left behind when the Trumpet blows, to face the Beast?

We see the same thing with people like Lady Ga Ga wearing a cross, Madonna doing the same while displaying her filth, Whitney Houston and so forth, somehow believing they are the "real Christians" and preachers and missionaries are somehow deranged delusional quacks. Jesus told us there will be fruit to judge. We can't judge the final judgment of God on their souls, but we are commanded to judge sin, and certainly their fruit. If someone is producing rotten fruit, we have the right, and IMO, the responsibility to sound the alarm if we love these people. We are assigned as Watchmen and their blood will be on our heads if we remain silent. If they don't heed the warning, then their blood will be on their own head. If we accept abortion and sodomy as a kind gesture toward people to feel like we are doing them a favor, we accept their sin on our heads. Romans 1:32 tells us we cannot even agree with the listed sins or we have committed the sins with the sinners. This is the principle that Jesus explained speaking of if you have hate in your heart, you have already committed murder, or lust in your heart, you have committed adultery.

If God has made it clear that sodomy is not acceptable to Him, how are we to agree with it? This explains the fate of Christians in the future. We will be persecuted for the name of Jesus because the country has already decided evil is good and good is evil. Many Christians need to decide right now how they will react when authorities come for them. Jesus told us we must "Hate" various family members to follow Him. Of course He didn't mean for you to hate your wife, but that you are to choose Him over everyone, even a family member. You cannot serve 2 masters. You will love one and hate the other. To accept sin just to go along to get along will not be the response you hoped for "Well done, good and faithful servant." There is MUCH more to belief in God than just believing He exists.

Believes what? You believe that God is One; you do well; the demons also believe and tremble. Doesn't mean he is saved.

I did not express any opinion about whether he was saved or not. I simply made what should be a very obvious observation that he believes in God. I'm not disagreeing with you on whatever else you are adding to the conversation beyond that detail.

Too many times in conversations people will say they believe in God, and then feel that is enough. I try to be sensitive to that and make sure of belief in Jesus as Saviour. I apologize if I was not as clear as I could have been.

Awesome. I watched Trump’s live stream speech this morning, particularly watching for any phrase that could be taken out of context and twisted to fit the tired “ Trump is racist, homophobe, blablah” but he nailed it.
Had his talking points sharpened—We need to protect American citizens first. These people (Muslims) don’t have American values, they enslave women and kill gays. Obama and Clinton want to bring more of them here. He said this defies common sense.
He kept emphasizing common sense, Americans’ safety, and the tremendous deficit caused by the national security crisis caused by open borders.
Most impressive: he nailed Obama & co’s blathering about “domestic terrorists” by saying, well, yeah, if we already have problems here, why are we importing more problems? Clinton has no answer to that.
Simple, easy to understand language.
I’m hoping a lot of undecideds were watching.

Obama and Clinton keep saying, lone wolf, not connected to others.
Trump’s simple response seems to agree, then delivers the sucker-punch with this common sense question that anyone with an IQ of 65 should understand:

“Even a single individual can be devastating. Can you imagine large groups?”
Bada-bing!
