A butcher's sign that said eating his bacon reduced the chance of someone being a suicide bomber has raised a few eyebrows. A photo posted on social media showed a sign up in the window of Jeff Rapley's butchery, Rapley's Midtown Quality Meats, in Narooma on the NSW South Coast. 'Eating two strips of Rapley's award-winning bacon for breakfast reduces your chance of being a suicide bomber by 100 per cent,' the sign read.

The butcher has already taken down the sign and seriously backpedalled about not meaning to offend anyone. The PC police have already taken him to the woodshed.

Wait for the hypocritical outrage. More outrage than was shown when the subhuman savage sliced a human’s neck on a city street.

I wish he hadn't. He should have told the PC police to take a hike to hell.

I’m sure baked beans made in a nice tearoom are better than Heinz. A friend of mine from GB who once stayed with us for 6 months, used to make us baked beans on toast which, although his version using the canned, was excellent. His chips were to die for. We’d go to Myers of Keswick in Greenwich Village to pick up wonderful English sausages.

Soldiers are dipped in soft-boiled eggs. Delicious. The Brits are happily obsessed with toast. There was even a bestselling book and movie called ‘Toast.’

I like bacon. Especially with butter, cheese and eggs. Along with black coffee. No toast please.

The coffee is steaming.
Oh, boy, what I'm dreaming
While I'm cooking breakfast
For the one I love.

My baby likes bacon,
And that's what I'm making
While I'm cooking breakfast
For the one I love.

The only baked beans I've seen in England have been a basic Heinz in what looks to be a tomato sauce. I try to copy my husband's cousin's recipe. Baked beans fortified with brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, dry mustard, and pepper topped with bacon and drizzled with ketchup then baked until they are thick. I love them on buttered pumpernickel, but you could almost serve them on ice cream!

“Meanwhile, her dad will not go near a runny yolk.”

Anyone serving me an egg with either a hard yoke OR runny white part is in deep, deep trouble.

I do the standard Boston Baked Beans which if you bake them eight hours on a cold, snowy January day, are amazing.

Throw a pan of that mess into a smoker for an hour and you’d have heaven on earth.
