This is why I posted. I think she’s in the top group and we can vert her hear as conservatives better than the media will. If she runs with Trump I beleve his platform will cause her opinions to be subservient. but she would be a heart beat away.

Trump needs major assassination/impeachment insurance. That means it has to be someone the leftists would not want to see inherit the presidency. Trump cannot pick someone leftists would prefer over him.

I didn’t start THIS rumor. I am starting a vetting process by the wonks on the FR. If you don’t read about who’s names are being considered, you are giving me way too much credit or b;ams for that matter. We should have a thread on all VP considerations and let the fun begin. Get to work and quiturbitchin.

Rumors are stubborn things. Anti-Trump tards kept claiming Kasich and Trump were colluding for weeks and he would chose Kaysick for VP. It’s all meant to demoralize Trump supporters.

I stand corrected. This brilliant idea did not originate in your brain. Stop spreading rumors that only hurt Trump.

Her views on that stuff is pretty much irrelevant because as VP she follows the President’s policy direction, not her own. However if she were to become President, it is germane.

But I don’t think she brings what he needs in terms of legislative “get-er-done” experience.

Newt and Kasich both do, but I no longer think Trump would consider Kasich. Scott Walker is a good executive but not a legislator. Rubio served in the FL House and became Speaker, plus his mini-career as an absentee Senator, and brings youth, Hispanic-ness, and more delegates than Kasich has. He’s my best guess at this point.

I agree,. Is she that incompetent more than a rookie senator? Of course gender and ethnicity are a consideration. That’s how the non-serious vote. We need to get our guy in and if she is doing a good job, then she should be considered. Jeff sessions and other white guys will make you feel better, but it won’t beat the WOMAN running on the other ticket.

He could have any of a number of people on his staff for that. It wouldn’t have to be just the VP for that.

Martinez counts among her legislative victories an expansion of Katie’s Law, which will require law-enforcement officials to obtain DNA samples from all suspects booked on felony charges”.

Martinez supports a balanced budget and lower government spending. She favors putting taxpayer money into a rainy day fund, and refunding taxpayers to attempt to stimulate growth.[58] Martinez is pro-life and is opposed to elective abortion.[59] Martinez is personally opposed to same-sex marriage, but she accepted the New Mexico Supreme Court’s opinion in Griego v. Oliver, which legalized same-sex marriage in New Mexico. She has no record on civil unions.[60] Martinez opposes New Mexico’s medical marijuana program, but has indicated that repealing the existing law is not a priority.[61] Martinez opposes portions of the Affordable Care Act, such as the individual mandate, but does not support repeal of the law in its entirety.[62][63] She also supports Common Core education standards.[64]

In November 2015, Martinez said she opposes the Obama administration’s plans to admit 10,000 Syrian refugees to the U.S. until clear plans for background-checking and relocating the refugees are developed.[65]

Not enough people read FR, let alone this thread, to worry about any rumors.

The consideration of VP candidates is not a rumor. It is a vetting process. I did not say she was Trumps pick. I said I would nominate her talk me out of it. Your continued use of rumor is disrupting and inaccurate. Do you have something to say about her one way or the other or are you just here for the fight.
