Hillary Clinton effectively sealed her nomination last night. And Donald Trump almost certainly did the same, winning five states by larger margins than the polls and the pundits expected.
Why did Trump exceed expectations?
Probably lots of small reasons added together. But Ill call out a few from the field of persuasion.
1. Trumps lyin Ted linguistic kill shot is working its magic.
2. The so-called rigged nomination process has energized voters against the establishment. (Calling the primary system rigged was one of Trumps best persuasion moves of all time.)
3. Trumps dominant win in New York state made him seem inevitable for the first time. Voters like to be on the winning side.
4. Trumps crooked Hillary and stamina linguistic kill shots tell Republican voters that Trump already has a harpoon in Clinton. Shell bleed out before November. Republicans are warming to the matchup, despite polling that says Clinton beats Trump in a general election.
5. The Tale of Two Trumps story has convinced nearly everyone that Trump modifies his approach to the situation. Trump at a Trump rally is mostly stand-up comedy. Trump in a serious interview is a different character. Trump is completely transparent about his different personas, and people are starting to see it as strategy, not insanity.
6. Cruz approach to winning delegates without winning the popular vote looks smart and effective. But it also makes him look like the lawyer that he is. Thats not a good look.

"And it gives women an identity choice. Do they pick the leader who says the woman card is a qualification for a good job? Or do they pick the leader who has a long record of promoting and mentoring women because he thinks gender should not be a qualification?
Landslide."
‘Or do they pick the leader who has a long record of promoting and mentoring women because he thinks gender should not be a qualification’
Trump and his operatives are going to have to work hard to get this information to the masses. Big Media is only covering his questionable statements against women.....they will never admit he might be a good candidate on women’s issues.
Scott Adams has had a pretty good read on how well Trump would do in the GOP race going back to the beginning.
The internals in the national polls put Trump 5-7% ahead of Romney’s 2012 election night exit polling across all demographics, Hillary is still 13%-15% back of Obama’s, with all the undecideds still up in the air.
Which means that Hillary’s still fighting to reach Obama’s pathetic accomplishment, whereas Trump is eating into that with room to grow.
Landslide is indeed a likely outcome, should Trump be the nominee. Outside of that, good luck.

Won’t be hard. All Trump has to do is say it and it will be covered like everything else he has done.

Ding, ding, ding! Nailed it, something many here (or not here???) didn’t get because they didn’t watch the serious interviews. They surface-skimmed among the Twitterati and enjoyed lampooning a caricature.
Who would want to go to a 'rally' and watch someone read off a teleprompter for 50 minutes?
I don’t think so. Big Media only covers his ‘blunders’. They won’t be covering anything positive about him.
Wow. Thanks for posting.
You underestimate Trump!
Wait until a few weeks of enduring the Rosie O’Donnell ghetto beatdown. Hillary will be showing up at her appearances with an open bottle of Wild Turkey in her hand and a strand of garlic around her neck. :-)

The comments at the site are interesting.
The feminists are mad because they know deep down what he’s saying is true. He hit too close to the truth for them to let it go. They really are voting for Hillary because she’s a woman. That’s their primary reason. They’ve been very open about it (the Girl Power vibe of her rallies couldn’t be more obvious), but now that someone is calling them out on it, daring them to produce another reason, their dander is up. They’ve got nothing.
Yup. I've watched every interview I could find, and Trump is one tough, serious dude who knows what he's talking about.
Unfortunately, many people are too bloody LAZY to bother researching a presidential contender. When people neglect doing their homework, they fail. That's why we have Obama, and Ted Cruz was a candidate. If Cruz were vetted, he'd never have gotten the signatures.

Funny. Yes, Trump in an one-on-one interview is amazing. He is totally different than he was in the debates. He needs to bring some of that when debating Hillary.
“Cruz approach to winning delegates without winning the popular vote looks smart and effective. But it also makes him look like the lawyer that he is. Thats not a good look.”
I’m sure Cruz thought it was smart - but from a perception viewpoint, it backfired.
The dynamics changed after Colorado and the Louisiana and other state’s delegate issues. After that, Trump won states by over 50% and won among evangelicals and those saying they are mostly conservative. They don’t like the scheming either.
Hannity and Savage and Drudge are about it, unless Rush and Levine come around.
and he takes no crap from the press and completely controls the interview, without raising his voice. it’s an amazing thing to watch.
Yes, and those are all ‘Conservative’ sources. When Big Media starts reporting on the good things Trump has done, we will know Hillary! is going down. (oh dear, bad choice of words?)
