“Trump at a Trump rally is mostly stand-up comedy. Trump in a serious interview is a different character. Trump is completely transparent about his different personas, and people are starting to see it as strategy, not insanity.”

Ding, ding, ding! Nailed it, something many here (or not here???) didn’t get because they didn’t watch the serious interviews. They surface-skimmed among the Twitterati and enjoyed lampooning a caricature.

Who would want to go to a 'rally' and watch someone read off a teleprompter for 50 minutes?

Yup. I've watched every interview I could find, and Trump is one tough, serious dude who knows what he's talking about.

Unfortunately, many people are too bloody LAZY to bother researching a presidential contender. When people neglect doing their homework, they fail. That's why we have Obama, and Ted Cruz was a candidate. If Cruz were vetted, he'd never have gotten the signatures.
