Reince Priebus Blasted for 'Major Breach of Trust' by Top RNC Officials
The Washington TImes ^ | 4/16/2016 | Ralph Z. Hallow

Posted on 04/18/2016 5:44:09 AM PDT by LNV

"Reince Priebus' former loyalists say they have reluctantly concluded that forces at the RNC will stop at virtually nothing to keep the door open to the nomination of Ohio Gov. John Kasich at the July convention – or, as some skeptics fear, some “white knight” who moderates claim will have broader voter appeal this fall than either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz, the two top-delegate winners, have shown in most polls so far."

The GOP is not really a political party in that it represents the interests and principles of its voting base. Its nothing but a club of elites. Its THEIR club and we’re never going to be in it.

Cruz doesn’t have the universal appeal to win in the general election. Even the ‘evangelicals’ sort of abandoned him through the South. Cruz might not be able to withstand the Clinton machine and its ‘scorched earth’ and ‘politics of personal destruction.’ If he thinks Trump has been hard on him, Nominee Cruz ain’t seen nothing yet. Trump, on the other hand, has been under assault almost daily since the day he announced.

Kasich doesn’t have the universal appeal to win either, regardless of what the media are pushing. He has won ONE state in the primaries — Ohio. Additionally, if the RNC/convention finagles and colludes to select him as the nominee, millions of Trump supporters are certainly NOT going to be voting Republican in November. Kasich could lose by an even greater number of millions than Romney did in 2012. Some 4 million abandoned Romney.

Similar could be said of any other candidate the RNC/convention finagles and colludes to push instead of the one with the greater number of delegates. Ryan, JBush, Romney, et al, will result in a massive Republican loss, because millions of voters will not be there for the Republican selectee.

The bigger problem is that the GOPestablishment don’t really care if they lose, as long as Hillary might win. They think she will continue the status quo, so the GOPestablishment will still get their turns at the money troughs and they will still be invited to the DC power parties.

I think crossing the line of being scared is what i’m referring to.

muzzies showing at the door, corporations strong arming, f...ts targeting you, IRS auditing you.

I don’t give a ##### anymore.

My country is disappearing.

Time to fire up the cylinders.

This whole sad saga reminds me of playing games with my kids when they were about 3 years old. The rules changed by the second in order to favor whatever they had at that instant.

Does the GOPe really want to play the game under fluid rules and look like a bunch of 3 year olds?

If they do, I really REALLY want to play poker against these guys. It will be me, a person of my choice, and one GOPe at a time. Each rule change is put to a majority vote, the first being are you forced to stay and participate.

They will walk out destitute to the third generation and will be lucky if they still own their kidneys.

You know, as we all do, that many of the delegates are not “grassroots” and that the use of that word is deceptive.

They are GOPe shills put in by Cruz and his minions.

Priebus' picture will appear in future dictionaries, next to the definition for "fall guy" -- unless there's anyone who sees the figurehead as some kind of political Godfather.

” broader voter appeal”

Bwahahahaha!

Gop going down in flames if they select some loser or someone who didn’t even run over the expressed will of 10 million plus voters who are going to vote for trump by convention time
Trump’is not an acceptable conservative but Kasick “ I ought to be a democrat” is??
Gonna be lots of empty chairs in that big tent!

Good luck in those senate local and congressional races too ... Cause Gee you never can predict what the insurgents just might do to anyone with “ R” marked beside their name maybe for the next several cycles

“Read the article. Priebus is planning to run the convention under procedures that will allow the Chairman to disregard the rules after they have been written by the rules committtee and voted on by the delegates. Forces withing the rules committee are fighting back.”

You read the article. Traditionally, the convention has been run under rules very similar to those used by the House of Representatives which do give a lot of power to the Chairman. A Trump activist, Yue, wants to do a major change converting the rules to Robert’s Rules of Order in order to reduce the Chairman’s power.

This probably sounds good to anyone who doesn’t understand Robert’s Rules. The principal purpose of the Convention is to nominate a candidate. It is also imperative that the Convention put on a good show for TV. The Republicans only get about three hours of TV coverage a night. Robert’s Rules allow for multiple opportunities to cause chaos and make the Republican convention look like a clown show.

For example, it’s 9PM and time for the nomination speech. An activist calls “point of order” to challenge what is happening. A “point of order” is always in order and must be addressed. The chair overrules the “point of order”. The activist calls for a vote. The chair calls for a voice vote. The chair rules the ‘nays’ have it. The activist calls for a roll call vote. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Trumps fault for not being smart enough to know the rules!

PS: what rules?

“Millions of votes being cast, and the rules for interpreting them still aren’t decided - allowing so much as ignoring those votes outright and simply coronating a candidate?”

The rules for “interpreting them” have been decided by the state parties and have nothing to do with the actual Republican Convention.

I’ve been saying it since Michael Steele was heading the party- we need a TEA party march on GOP HEADQUARTERS

(apparently organizing something like that is outside my skill set)

“The 2012 rules are officially the temporary rules for the 2016 Convention. To change them by too much would seem corrupt.”

The 2012 rules are the temporary rules and remain in effect until modified or adopted by the convention.

The essence of this post article is that there are those who do want to make massive changes to the rules discarding the rules traditionally used in favor of Robert’s Rules.

You know...sadly it is getting to that point.

I dont know how old you are but, I saw the change in atitude around 1975 and it got worse as the years rolled by. Punks like these were schooled by the hippy creep generation and never taught respect or honor.

They think that a persons word doesnt mean anything anymore. We see it in the CEOs of corporations and everywhere.

They dont care, they will destroy everything just to make a point, as long as it is their point.

How old is Trump? He was brought up prior to that generation.

The founding Fathers (at least some of them) abhorred political ‘parties’

Alexander Hamilton was one of the first dirtbags as president and he was for them.

“Even though Trump wins say 50 delegates in a state the GOPe select the delegates. We call that rigged where I’m from.”

Where I’m from, we call a candidate that can’t read and understand the rules and organize his delegate selection is ‘incompetent’.

Yeah, it’s all about good TV/s. That’s why there’s a civil war brewing at the RNC over it—because it’s so unimportant, you know.

A warning to Cruz and his supporters who luuuv the GOPe right now—if they’ll do it with you, they’ll do it to you.
