Beck's empire collapses with Cruz; ratings fall, malware, bankruptcy soon?

Glenn Beck may have hitched his wagon to the wrong train, specifically a Texas Senator who broke down on the corn fields of Wisconsin.

With Ted Cruz’s poll numbers slipping to third place, Glenn has a lot of egg on his face. After claiming Justice Scalia was killed by God to show the US people how important Cruz was, and comparing Trump supporters to Nazis, Beck’s program audience shrunk to a paltry size: essentially those who like Ted Cruz.

Now that Ted is going under in the polls, with a recent FOX poll showing him tied for 3rd, Beck’s empire is collapsing like a house of cards. Beck’s “Flagship” and income source, “THE BLAZE” website is dropping readership rapidly.

Malware concerns:

It turns out Glenn Beck has been spreading around something vile other than his horrible opinions. No, it’s not herpes (probably). Security firm Invinceareports that on July 1, Beck’s site The Blaze unintentionally transmitted malware through embedded advertising to many of his subscribers.

Invincea says that on July 1 and possibly on other dates, one of The Blaze’sadvertisers deliberately redirected users to a “Polish recipe website” that provided a lot more than pierogi ingredients. Unwary readers were affected with a drive-by exploit called Kazy or Kryptik, trojans that open holes in security software to give hackers access to unsuspecting users’ personal information.

Top execs leave the Blaze, Beck stuck with boring yes men:

Kerry was also responsible for leading vendor negotiations, regarding media related services. He even interfaced with CNN Headline News & Fox News teams in collaboration of The Glenn Beck TV show.

Now, Joseph Kerry is no longer associated with TheBlaze, and is instead a partner with Littlecloud Ventures, which is a marketing consulting firm.

Earlier, Chris Balfe, who was Beck’s CEO, and Joel Cheatwood, who was president and chief content officer, also left TheBlaze. Both were responsible for assisting Beck with launching TheBlaze TV.

According CNN, the two men are building a digital media company, in which they will serve are partners.

Now the ratings are dropping like a stone.

hmmm. consider a correlation. Beck’s ratings good, his viewers are what, angry? Wanting a patriot voice? Loving his rally with Sarah? You betcha!

But then what?

A louder voice. Someone who wasn’t just a voice but made money. Who hears him? Lots of Beck listeners. Thing is, they weren’t hearing what they wanted to hear. If Beck had supported DT with all the passion then he wouldn’t have lost a listener and may even have picked up the Reagan democrats.

It’s ok. If Beck is truly a believer then he knows that going with what he believes to be the truth will in fact draw fire and scorn. If it is his standards by which he is not supporting DT (just as the MSM are supporting him only for the money) then he knows that those standards are eternal standards, not man-made life for today standards.

You are absolutely clueless because nobody has said anything about a new party.

Obviously, you are not paying attention to your fellow Trumpists.

I could say "speaking of clueless"...but I won't.

You still got off a gratuitous insult, anyway, so you accomplished half your objective.

We tried that in 2010 and 2014 and they all became part of the problem.

That Cruz’ foibles are worse than THE DONALD?

Yes, they are. Let me elaborate:

If you'll recall. Ted Cruz played the race card against Donald Trump, knowing full well that it was an Establishment smear and absolutely false.

Game, set, and match. There's nothing sleazier than that, and there never could be.

There have been several other examples with Cruz; not just cases of being crass or rude, but showing that he is a calculating and totally unprincipled opportunist.

The Chicago rally that was canceled comes to mind, wherein he gave the briefest lip service to rebuking the criminal thugs, and then proceeded with another knee-jerk Establishment smear, accusing the Trump campaign of attacking reporters. This of course was totally false as well, as we have seen in the aftermath of the Michelle Fields hoax. But Cruz was happy to pile on in the absence of any evidence.

Then, when the National Enquirer story came out, Cruz immediately resorted to lawyer-esque talk, and then pivoted to an baseless attack on Donald Trump once again, blaming Trump for the release of the story, when everybody behind the scenes had known about it for weeks, and indeed there was ample evidence that it was the Rubio campaign that was shopping the story; they even went back and deleted Tweets in an effort to cover their tracks.

The GOPe and the Cruz campaign, whose propaganda goals, strangely, seem to overlap entirely with those of the Left and Mass Media, long ago ceded the moral high ground to Donald Trump.

Donald Trump may be blunt, politically incorrect, crass, and juvenile sometimes, but the character assassination campaign that has been waged against him is absolutely unprecedented, unprincipled, unconscionable.

I've never seen anything like it, and Ted Cruz has joined in wholeheartedly with his GOPe buddies in prosecuting it.

Ted Cruz can't string 2 sentences together without hysterically pivoting to a smear of tha catch-all boogeymen Donald Trump. Cruz is now trailing a distant third in many Northeastern states. His support is collapsing. Hi is not a viable general election candidate and will not receive the GOP nomination under any circumstances.

Donald Trump has weathered an incredibly vicious onslaught by the entire corrupt, entrenched DC cartel, full of non-stop demonization, and he's still standing as tall as anyone could be after such an ordeal.

Vote Trump

Cruz wanted to be a badass but it turns out he's just bad at being an ass.

Great posts. I went with my entire family to D.C. twice to see Beck. Whenever there was a post on FR relating to Glenn, I always commented, “HOORAY Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck is OUTSTANDING”

In this primary run, after calling Trump supporters “brownshirts”, I decided to shut him off. I support Trump. If Cruz wins, I will vote for him. As for Beck…maybe i’ll listen again after the convention when Trump wins. It would be out of curiosity to see how he handles it and how strongly he supports him vs. the criminal. Not until then.

“Hopefully Mark Levin will not be too far behind.”

They’re all wearing thin, as the benefit of their supposed “power” is exactly Jack Squat! They make millions preaching to the choir, and after several election cycles showing us the futility of voting, their caterwauling and po’ face routine looks and sounds absurd.

“Idumped Beck back when he came out in support of illegal aliens.”

He was done by then for me too. But as a poster above has said, he was a good man and worthy of prayer for his recovery.

We tried that in 2010 and 2014 and they all became part of the problem.

Did you really expect it to happen overnight>

Over 80% of the delegates to the 2016 convention represent insurgent candidates.

Doesn't that mean anything to you?

It’s not about being afraid of me, you moron, you’re afraid of the damn truth, which is IN that video, it exposes Beck for the fraud he is, and the idea that you might see something that shatters the illusion that Beck has carefully crafted for the public is what scares you.

Go look at the damn video. You’re a coward if you don’t.

Gaffer posted this about the GOPe leadership:

I knew that GOP leadership, especially in Congress, has been duplicitous, appeasing - cowardly if I were to try and put a single word on it, but in my wildest dreams or drunken stupor

I’d never have believed that GOP could be best likened to Union Leadership. But there it is, there they are, in all their union glory doing what they damned well want.

Well it's true as far as my clueless claims go.

I never claimed starting a new party or don't recall too many of my fellow Freepers saying that other than they might consider it if the crooked GOP establishment steals this thing and they have every right to consider that considering all the corruption that is taking place to justify that.

It's funny that by your tagline, you understand there is corruption in the mainstream media but yet, much of what the Cruz supporters opinion of Donald Trump has been defined by this enemedia.

It's just like you posting about Trumpists wanting a new party, it's all propaganda by the same mainstream media that you understand is corrupt but don't mind letting them define this race for you because it serves your purpose and candidate. That's how we end up with a corrupt establishment candidate every time and many Americans are just sick of it. Caving in to the establishment is neither principled nor conservative.

What the GOPe, the Cruz campaign, and you Cruz supporters are doing by helping with this Big Steal so that the establishment tries to get the candidate they want, once again, is just downright WRONG and it doesn't bother me to point out how clueless you are about the whole situation.

My life doesn’t revolve around Glenn Beck and whether or not he’s a fraud. If he is a fraud, he’ll have to answer to someone greater than me.

Glenn Beck thinks the same way I do about George Washington, and what his values and morals were. How that became an essential part of the founding of our Nation is a fundamental part of what he believes. I do not fault him in any means for that. He helped me renew my respect and admiration for GW and his brave, measured strength. For that I am grateful to Glenn.
