Donald Trump is poised to win New York in a landslide on Tuesday but he could leave as many as two-dozen critical delegates on the table by failing to win an outright majority in every corner of the state, according to new congressional district-level polling provided to POLITICO.

It’s always this way. Usually it doesn’t matter because the party coalesces around the leader.

In this case, since Trump is singularly unelectable and unqualified, and is leading a rebellion against his own party, it is little surprise that the fight goes on.

Now, for the first time since 1976 all of these little details may matter a lot.

Interesting times.

If Trump Cruz can't get 50% in NY TX he can't get it in any state.

Go back to sleep ...

So, when Trump only got 45.72% of the vote in Florida, but took 100% of the delegates....did you scream about the ‘unfair rules’?

Trump won every county in FL but one. And as you can see got a larger percent of the FL vote than Cruz did in his HOME STATE. How pathetic for Cruz is that?

“cruz never got 50% and he represents the state”

Cruz had to split TX with 15 candidates, and still got almost 50%.

Trump is only running with 2 more in NY, and may not get 50%. Poor showing.

Two more (Rubio and Carson) are what you consider to be “several more candidates”? Some of the Cruz supporters on this thread seem to think that there were a lot more than the five candidates in the race when TX voted on Super Tuesday (March 1).

There were 13 or 14 candidates in Texas, 3 in NY. If you can't see the difference, then you're a true Trumpeteer.

Keep it up with the ad hominem attacks, but I know your game: when Trump crashes and burns, y'all can sit in front of your computer and blame Cruz. No such thing as taking responsibility for your own actions.

When TX voted, Cruz, Trump, Kasich, Rubio, and Carson were still in the race. Would you care to enlighten us who the other 10 candidates were that you claim were still in at that time? Were they some local county jokesters or something who somehow made it onto the TX ballot or did they just not remove the names of those candidates who dropped out earlier?

Always been this way. Primaries are a relatively new thing.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_primary

I think caucuses were necessary prior to easy travel and widespread communications. Caucus type events where delegates were selected starting at the local level made sense. Some states never adopted primaries and some states (like Colorado https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Caucus had a brief flirtation with primaries). Both systems have their pluses and minuses.

even so the fact is that he represents TX, granted he is not from there nor has he done one term representing them , but in any case it was still a pitiful display and add that to the other only 3 primary states he has won.

With Rinos going to John Kossack...Conservative activists going for Cruz and the “crossover vote” locked in Mortal Kombat between Bernie and The Beast...?

It is quite possible that Donny the Democrat Donor may fire Guido the Golden Goodfella and his GOPe/Rino/Hack delegate hunting staff.

Shhhh...be vewy vewy qwiette....I'm hunting dewegates...

heh heh heh heh...

Jedi.

maybe you should look at those states and understand it is where the people voted and the delegates represent the people voting , not like being paid off by the establishment.

Maybe it is you who does not understand sound logic.

There were a lot more people still in the race when Ted got Texas. He did darned sell by taking as many as he did in his home state at the time

cruz represents the state, Trump lives there, but massive difference.

cruz did awful in a state he was elected in to represent them, granted he has not done one term there and is not from there , but he should have got his own state he represents.

All I'll say is #nevertrump. I don't vote for RINOs. I don't vote for democrats. I don't vote for planned butcherhood defenders.

No matter how "tough" they "talk."

why not address your so called facts then.

Are they primary states where the people voted and like here in FL he won 66 out of 67 counties and got over a half million more votes. How did cruz do in this swing state which is a must win. oh yea ever won a single county like in another swing must win state VA

yea like liberals keep telling a small circle of people how smart you are and how dumb the majority are, and yet you can’t address your own comments to others wh place facts about them.
