First Baptist Dallas pastor Robert Jeffress is standing behind Donald Trump's comments on abortion.

Jeffress is in Donald Trump's corner when it comes to comment he made earlier in the week. This was first reported by NBC 5's media partners at The Dallas Morning News. ... "Look, pro lifers who criticize that comment either are doing so because they really don't believe their rhetoric that abortion is murder, or they are so blinded by hatred for Donald Trump they are not able to think logically," said Jeffress.

Asked if he thinks a woman should be punished for getting an abortion, should abortion be outlawed at some point, Jeffress said the following. ...

Talking about at the level of “world.”

Not some synthetic semi-Christian thing.

You will notice that women’s suffrage made no historical difference in the treatment.

If women were not represented, they should not have been taxed.

Trump would be right. It’s courts that would have to change.

This is why it was such a YUGE mistake for soi disant pro-life to yawn when several weeks ago Trump criticized Roe v. Wade. This is when the negotiation should have started.

Too many people see a door marked Opportunity and expect a knock on it to bring a servile genie, rather than a neighbor who greets with “Welcome to the work!”

“You will notice that women’s suffrage made no historical difference in the treatment.”

You think there would have been a Roe v. Wade if women had not been enfranchised?

“If women were not represented, they should not have been taxed.”

Women are properly taxed through their husbands, who are properly the breadwinners.

There could well have been; it took two to tango. Men wanted to easily hide their wrongdoing. A penis is no substitute for thinking with the big head.

So single women should be outlawed? How?

Trump is a lifelong leftist / progressive and he believes all of the negative stereotypes about conservatives and makes these comments thinking they will appeal to us and has been getting taken about by the outrage he wasn’t expecting. He apparently believed that we were pro-life for the sake if increasing government power and not about merely protecting innocent children and creating a culture that respects and values life. He’s doesn’t understand us - because he isn’t one of us.

I wonder how many of those stereotypes were at least partially earned?

“will say that he does not think that abortion laws should be changed.”

Perfect. He claims he is pro-life, then promises not to change the laws.

“Yes, I believe that abortion is murder and women who get abortions should be tired for murder. But, on the other hand I don’t think we should change abortion laws.”

Weasel that he is.

Can’t believe the some many Freepers are taken in by this literal con - man.

“Which is why women should not have the vote.”

I agree, as a woman. So because most of my kids & grandkids are men, they like this.

But I have one caveat. Women shouldn’t vote until they are past child-bearing age. Because otherwise they’ll only vote for whoever says it’s okay to murder their babies.

“So single women should be outlawed?”

It’s not really nice to jump immediately to the worst possible interpretation of what a person says.

Single women—and men—should face the same social pressures to get married, and stay married, that they did before Satan had made so much progress in destroying the family.

I think a society has to degenerate a good deal before infanticide becomes acceptable.

Why punish women for aborting their babies? Why make abortion illegal?

What is the worst thing a mother can do? Kill its own child. THIS HAPPENS 1000 TIMES EVERY SINGLE DAY OF EVERY WEEK OF EVERY MONTH OF EVERY YEAR....YEAR AFTER YEAR.

IN AMERICA AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD..1000 every single day.
..AND THAT IS JUST AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD, IT IS PROBABLY TWICE THAT.

It is never the babies fault. There is not any reason at all..... to punish any baby with the death penalty. ITS NOT THE BABIES FAULT. EVER. KILLING THE BABY IS A TERRIBLE CRIME. ONE THOUSAND TIMES EVERY DAY? YES UNBELIEVEABLE GENOCIDE.

But what about incest and rape and deformities and prenatal disease and sickness and the health of the mother?
Do you think there are 1000 cases of pregnancy resulting from rape and incest every day?
............In the United States, 1 percent of 1,900 women questioned in 1987 listed rape or incest as the reason for having an abortion.
When a society kills its own young, it kills its own future, it kills the value of Life. It kills the ability to support a society and instead becomes a situation where less workers must support more older retired people.
Abortion creates in the women and men a selfishness, an irresponsibility. It kills its families.

Mankinds greatest accomplishment to date has been to leave the planet and walk on the moon.
1969.

Abortion became legal in 1973

Ever since... our illegal immigration has grown until now there are tens of millions of illegal alliens
in America. ....simply because the millions of dead American babies needed to be replaced for the workplace of the future

It creates a need for the increased immigration to fill the jobs created...thus creating an uphill battle for the youth of this country to compete at lower wages which immigrants who are willing to work for less, and are willin to take a lower
standard of living.

It brings values that are foreign and a lack of knowlegde of the history of this Country...of what is Greatness, what it takes to accomplish it and what it takes to keep it.

....MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. VIVA TRUMP

I hate to break it to you but your Trump hate intoxication is making you look like a laughing stock and idiot

Nobody said try women for murder

But punishment for illegal abortion should it become illegal is just common sense

What the punishment would be is political

And I don’t give a shit what pro life professionals say

Too many of them are corrupted by this notion influenced by their faith that pro life also means anti death penalty

I’m no pro life

I’m anti abortion

I’ve learned on this forum there is a BIG difference

“Because otherwise they’ll only vote for whoever says it’s okay to murder their babies.”

It seems as though there are many women of whom that is true, but I think there are more of whom it is not.

The act, like suicide or self mayhem, was classically held to be self punishing because the natural bond between mother and gestated child was so close. And so penalties of law were light or nil.

Remorseless women who kill multiple babies laugh at this naive white knight delusion about female psychology. Women with healthy maternal feelings aren't the ones who will be seeking out abortions if they're outlawed. The malefactors will need more disincentives than their own consciences, which are self evidently defective. Therefore they must be punished.

But birth control is the center issue.

It has no place. It is just disordered

With no attempt to limit family size a woman can have ten children. Outside a few cults this doesn't happen, at least for the last century. So married couples were doing something to prevent pregnancy long before the modern birth control pill was invented.

Because we've gone so far in the anti-life direction it's easy to lose sight of the fact that Malthus had a point. If there's absolutely no attempt to control family size each generation can be five times the size of the previous one. The US population would grow to 1.5 billion. Then to 7.5 billion. Then to 37.5 billion.

Obviously something would have to give, and we'd never come close to 1.5 billion. I suspect the first thing to give would be the dogmatic opposition to birth control, which has very little traction in the United States, which is a predominantly Protestant country.

So this is entirely hypothetical, but it's worth reminding ourselves of why some hypotheticals are unlikely.

I reserve my compassion for the murdered babies, not the heartless women who kill them.

Sorry if that's too real for you.

It’s not hypothetical if you accept that birth control is against natural law

Which it is. Having ten kids per family is bad?

Is that the argument?

The other side of the argument is worse. And that’s what we have now

On average? Yes. Maybe not this year. Maybe not in twenty years. But eventually you would overwhelm the carrying capacity of the Earth. I know environmentalists use that term, but that doesn't invalidate the concept. There's only so much room, clean water, food and energy available on this planet. There are no other habitable planets in the solar system. But even if we could colonize all other planets a continuing fivefold increase in population would rapidly consume all resources.

Scientist Freeman Dyson has speculated about building a shell around the sun, known as a Dyson Sphere, to capture all its energy, maximizing each star's life supporting capacity. But even then the exponential growth would eventually consume every kilowatt of energy from the sun.

This wouldn't take long. There's no chance that we could engineer a Dyson Sphere before running up against the carrying capacity of the Earth. Nor are we likely to terraform Mars or develop the low cost launch systems required for space colonization.

Just starting with the United States population this is how large the population resulting from a fertility rate of ten children per woman would be.

Generation 1: 300 million

Generation 2: 1.5 billion

Generation 3: 7.5 billion

Generation 4: 37.5 billion

Generation 5: 187.5 billion

Generation 6: 937.5 billion

Are you starting to see the problem?
