Donald Trump warned Wednesday that riots would break out if the GOP tries to deny him the Republican Partys nomination.
I think well win before getting to the convention. And if were 20 votes short or if were 100 short and were at 1,100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400 I dont think you can say that we dont get it automatically, he told CNN.
I think youd have riots, he added. Im representing many, many millions of people, in many cases first-time voters.
I wouldnt lead it, but I think bad things would happen, the tycoon noted.
The really big story is how many people are voting in these primaries, he said. If you just disenfranchise these people, I think you would have problems like youve never seen before.
Trump mentioned a hypothetical scenario in which hed go to the Cleveland convention in July with about 1,000 delegates and a rival would show up with 500.
He said he believes hell capture the nomination before the convention and said he couldnt imagine failing to get the partys nod virtually automatically in such a scenario.

Only path for Republican win is Trump/Cruz ticket. All other commentary senseless. Combined they are gathering 80% of vote. Cruz will have fewest delegates. He needs to man up, and take the VP for the good of the country, if not well see Cruzs hypocrisy and 8 years of Hillary.
All though Cruz will finish second in delegates, November decision is in his hands.

Thanks, FR, where my common sense and your paranoia meet.
This kind of rhetoric is really unnecessary. It’s over. I loath Trump but I did not fail High School math. Barring a bolt from the blue event Trump has got the nomination. Ditto Clinton.
We are so screwed.
Then majority by their definition is wrong. He has a lead and if he holds it by a fair margin then he should get it.
Simple. It’s call self defense. The left will start the trouble just like they have all along.
We choose the nominee, not the voters: Senior GOP official

Political parties, not voters, choose their presidential nominees, a Republican convention rules member told CNBC, a day after GOP front-runner Donald Trump rolled up more big primary victories.
“The media has created the perception that the voters choose the nomination. That’s the conflict here,” Curly Haugland, an unbound GOP delegate from North Dakota, told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Wednesday. He even questioned why primaries and caucuses are held.
Haugland is one of 112 Republican delegates who are not required to cast their support for any one candidate because their states and territories don’t hold primaries or caucuses. Even with Trump’s huge projected delegate haul in four state primaries Tuesday, the odds are increasing the billionaire businessman may not ultimately get the 1,237 delegates needed to claim the GOP nomination before the convention.

Thanks to BLM, MoveOn.org and the ANSER coalition, there will be riots if he is nominated.
And now, thanks to Mr. Trump’s inflammatory and irresponsible remarks, there will be riots if he is not nominated.
Either way, America will suffer.
Donald really hasn’t substantially tangled with Hillary.
Donald is a alpha dog and Hillary is a cat. Hillary’s lies might have hypnotized America into denial but they won’t hypnotize Donald.
Well they’re just hoping to sacrifice a few to lethal force for things like throwing tomatoes, just to get America back on their side. Be careful what trap you play with.
Hillary will win.
As little as three days ago, I concurred with your assessment...still do, if someone holds a gun to my head...
But there is something I’m beginning to sense; this is no ordinary, normal election cycle...
Keep in mind Soros is also funding Kasich. Would Kasich let Cleveland burn to win/ get the nomination or save the GOP?
Perhaps it is time to start forming up a new party leadership to override the elite if they fail to follow standard protocol. Literally walk up and take the stage from them.
>> Not a threat on the part of The Donald <<
I agree. It’s not a threat. It’s more like a hint to his followers.
Hillary is where she is at because she hypnotized America with lies.
Bubbles of lies, you are about to meet a huge hatpin, named Donald Trump.
No they likely won’t. Liars have a hard time pulling the wool over the eyes of other liars.
Even allowing such a hypothesis it should be advantage Trump, because Trump never committed any Benghazis, etc.
>> The candidate that wins the majority should be the nominee, very simple <<
Not so simple for Mr. Trump, since during last week’s debate, he suggested that 50% was some sort of “random number.” And I guess his followers will agree.
“Yep, exactly right, I feel sorry for the down ballot Republicans, they will get slaughtered.”
The GOPe and all those down ballot Republicans need to know that ahead of time.
I’ve already decided that I’m voting for Trump as the R nominee or as a write in. If I have to vote for him as a write in, I’ll then vote for a straight down ballot Democrat ticket.
How do you think they’d like it if every Republican up for reelection lost?
Does anyone not bother to read the data anymore? Only 4 of the remaining primaries are proportional.....4
3 are winner take most and 11 ......note ELEVEN ARE WINNER TAKE ALL
and two are direct appointment whatever that is
Riots? Be serious. All you might get is a third party, which should guarantee a Clinton win.

Q: If government is full of criminals because “that’s where the money is” how can you effectively remove the criminals?
A: Remove the money and the criminals will follow.
If they start a fight, it is time to take back the streets.
