There are already several theories circulating to explain the gap between Sanders and Clinton when it comes to young women.
Feminist luminary Gloria Steinem said just last Friday on Bill Maher’s show (then somewhat un-said Sunday) that young women are just going where “the boys†are.
Author Jill Fillipovic followed up with a riff on Steinem’s thinking in Cosmopolitan, arguing that, “In this primary, Sanders is the guy stuff. Clinton is the girl stuff.â€
She argued that young women often feel pressured to make a show of liking cool guy stuff instead of lame girl stuff.
Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz mused in a January New York Times interview that young women not rallying behind Clinton are merely complacent, while Joan Walsh noted in The Nation that focusing on Sanders taking the lion’s share of youth votes effectively erases those young women who do support Clinton. Speaking at a New Hampshire rally Monday night, actress and model Emily Ratajkowski (who is 24 years old) put it like this:
“I want a female president so that I can say to my daughter one day, you too can become president of the United States. I believe in that symbolic importance. But I have seen symbolism in election, symbolism that fails the people that so desperately need the action to make change. I want my first female president to be more than a symbol, I want her to have politics that can revolutionize.â€

Why Are Millennial Women Gravitating to Bernie Sanders?
Because many of them are air head twits and not American patriot women . They forget what war is and how important it is for America to be strong . Militarily strong . They go for this spoon fed pablum , which is what they have been hearing throughout their sheltered little girl and academic lives . Frankly they should not hold the right to vote , until serving their country in some capacity . The founding fathers had the right idea in the first place . Much has changed m but anyone , male or female , that is willing to put a H.Clinton of a B Sanders into the top slot does not have the intelligence to be classed as a patriotic American , with the power to affect the destiny of our great country . Draft their butts , have them serve 4 years , then they can vote .
Most women are herd animals, especially young women. Witness the follower behaviors of today’s millennials - tattoos like all their friends have, endlessly posting selfies on facebook, etc. Add to this the propensity for younger people in any generation to be more liberal and idealistic as unlike older folks they they have never had to work for themselves and everything is given to them.
