Sarah Palin: ‘Wasn’t Hard’ To Choose Between Donald Trump And Ted Cruz
Breitbart ^ | February 1,2016 | by CHARLIE SPIERING

Posted on 02/01/2016 8:15:26 AM PST by Hojczyk

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin joined the Today show to talk about her endorsement of Donald Trump as Iowans go to caucus tonight for the Republican presidential primary.

is was probably a tough call for you, between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% and Donald Trump, began Savannah Guthrie during the interview.

t wasn’t tough,” Palin interrupted.

Really, Guthrie replied.

No, it wasn’t tough, she repeated.

Palin explained that she was happy to endorse Ted Cruz in his Senate race, because he was a fighter for the American people but that she wanted him to stay in Washington D.C.

want to keep him in the Senate, and I want Donald Trump to be our president, she said.

Guthrie asked Palin if Trump was necessarily “the godly candidate” for evangelical voters.

I hope voters aren’t trying to find the most Christian-y godliest candidate out there because who are we to judge one another’s level of faith – our Christian quotient if you will, she said.

Host Matt Lauer suggested that perhaps Donald Trump wasn’t enough of a true conservative, citing his Democratic record.

Palin referred to Ronald Reagan, pointing out that she was “glad” that Donald Trump was a candidate that had “seen the light.”

Later in the show, Palin was asked by co-host Willie Geist about what she brought to Donald Trump’s campaign by endorsing him.

I’m very, very conservative, very much a right-winger, proudly clinging to my God, my guns and my Constitution, she said. “I think I speak for a lot of Americans who have those same values.”

Well DC isn’t Ferguson, but I get your point. There probably isn’t a city in the world that is more prepared for chaos like that. But under the obama regime just about anything could happen. If someone could just hop a fence and run right inside the Whitehouse....

i’m a disaster too lol.

my Dad was a GREAT guy but he still looked like the other fathers’ father by the time i was 12 lol

i remember when i was 8 or 9.

he went into the hospital for heart surgery and i thought he was going to come out looking 30 lol

wasn’t sure what they did in the hospital :)

he looked them same

really good looking when he was younger before the stroke.

he died when i was 15 but i never had to see him paralyzed or not being able to talk, or, to be honest, after three heat attacks, a stroke, a missing kidny, and an anyeurism I never saw him look sick!!

Reagan was also the FIRST ever divorced president, in American history.

The Cruzites would have smeared him up one side and down the other, had he run today. And then, he was a movie star, was on T.V. *gasp*, worked for G.E. *oh the horror*, wasn't overtly religious ( bring out the fainting couches ! ), Nancy was preggers way before they married and she also had inherited wealth!

But yes, Grandpa Dave, we saw the man as he was and knew that he was the right man for that time.

Reagan was also able to sell himself to us. Trump does too. Cruz does not. Its not really any more complicated then that.

Thanks for sharing:-) I’d tell you more about mine but it would take a book. Needless to say that as he got older than 50 PTSD took him over and he thought everyone was out to get him. He lived to be 82 but died alone and never told the folks who took him and his $ in that he had a family and was buried in potters field out in California when we finally found out what happened to him. I’m just so lucky to have my Wife and Kids and living the Middle Class American Dream! Nuff said.

That's VERY true!

OTOH, Cruz, like Obama, had kept his real self and the history he didn't want anyone to know about, behind closed doors, but now, more and more about him and his family has come out and it's NOT "nice".

This is his CURRENT position.

For those who would like a more detailed analysis of why the Cruz shaming mailing was bad, stupid, counterproductive, etc., see the very detailed analysis below.

Yes, it’s a game to him. It’s a game to win or lose. I don’t disagree with you. I don’t disagree with you that he is acting for his audience. What is politics today really?

I like Cruz just fine...... as a senator. I do not like senators running for president. Nothing in that job description translates to being president.

A businessman like Trump has run, built and managed organizations. He knows how to team build. He also knows success and failure(and how to recover from it)

Successful governors are also a good choice. The only choice from the political class, imo.

So besides lack of integrity Cruz’s campaign is dumb as well. Wonderful traits for a President. Oh wait we have that in the Whitehouse now.
