I like Cruz just fine...... as a senator. I do not like senators running for president. Nothing in that job description translates to being president.
A businessman like Trump has run, built and managed organizations. He knows how to team build. He also knows success and failure(and how to recover from it)
Successful governors are also a good choice. The only choice from the political class, imo.
Look at JFK; in the modern era, he was the first Senator to president with a failed presidency. And yes, sans the assassination, those 1,000 days WERE a damned disaster!
