Sounds like Dreyfuss got smarter and more conservative in his old age. I’m happy to have his support on our side.

Heck, Trump changed a lot of his positions just in the last 6 months. See a hilarious skit Donald vs. Trump here:

Dreyfus can claim artistic license , changing his mind, being an actor. As a TV personality, I would think Trump can do the same

Recall that Dreyfuss played Stephen Douglas in the excellent audio-book of the Lincoln-Douglas debates that was a word for word portrayal. You can’t do that and not learn something good. I hope.

His comments leave me completely unclear on his politics. Not supporting anyone but wanted to hear Cruz speak. Wants “the old Republican party”.

He voted Obama in 2008. In 2012, who he voted for I don’t know.

Dreyfus will say it's research for an upcoming role. Ted has already long proved he's every bit as smart as Dreyfus aspires to be.

Well, they do say, the older one gets, the more conservative they become. If he ends up supporting Cruz, that’s cool with me!

I guess none of you actually saw Dreyfus interviewed by Cavuto on FNC. Didn’t think it was possible but Dreyfus I nuttier than Glenn Beck. They guy is a wingnut, and no conservative.

Back in the 80s, Dreyfus was as liberal as anyone could be.

Some people are stupid and liberal when they are young and get smarter and more conservative as they mature.

“When you are not working any publicity is good publicity.”

He’s not not working. He’s starring in some big TV series or movie or whatever it is playing Bernie Madoff.

“He has been married three (gasp!) times.”

Well so has Trump and so has Gingrich and so has Rush Limbaugh even.

Me, I’ve been married twice, to the same man. So, I can’t really say these guys are crazy!

Have you ever seen Mr. Holland’s Opus? Great film, one of my faves.
He played a teacher.
The film makes a strong statement about decency and traditional values and the ways in which public education taught and reinforced those values —once upon a time.
I didn’t know Dreyfus took an interest in education in real life.

President Reagan left office almost 30 years ago. People change.

Not as fast as Trump, but they do change.

I should have put the sarcasm s/ sign on that "gasp" sentence in case you misinterpreted my post.

Cruz's campaign crucifies Trump for his three marriages.....and here one of Cruz's endorsers has been married likewise 3 times...and Cruz hasn't disowned the endorsement or the endorser, gasp

The old liberal double standard.....in this case, the old triple standard.

First Beck, now Dreyfuss, this isn't a circus, it's a carnival freak show!

Next, he'll be giving out free airplane rides. Oh wait . . .

I didn't realize this guy was a republican.

I'm not sure what affiliation Richard Dreyfuss claims, but it's pretty clear that he has stood apart from the usual far-left Hollywood crowd for some time. Back in 2002, when Charlton Heston revealed that he was suffering from Alzheimer's, much of Hollywood celebrated in the usual foul-mouthed, vulgar manner.
Dreyfuss did not - instead, he wrote a glowing tribute to Heston and had it published.
