This really is a shock. Back in the 80s, Dreyfus was as liberal as anyone could be. It really is however - I have noticed in the last few years he would be on the BOR show and others espousing borderline conservative views and I couldnt believe what I was hearing - I guess ya never too old to change!

Are we to take economic advice on bringing back 90% tax rates from an ex-drug addict and washed out actor? We’re in a recession, raising taxes even more is insane. It’s not the 60s anymore.

Someone here on FR posted a link to an article he had written on a political subject, and I was surprised at how conservative it was. If I remember correctly, it was a scathing treatise on the sad state of the U.S. public education system.
I always thought he was a very underrated actor. The relatively unknown Let it Ride was one of the most underrated movies of all time, in my humble opinion.
