Last week, the conservative magazine National Review published a long and scathing attack on Donald J. Trump. Notable names included Glenn Beck, Erick Erickson, Michael Medved, and Thomas Sowell. Absent was the radio champion of conservatism, Rush Limbaugh.
Limbaugh said National Review’s attack came “too late now,†and would not convince Trump’s supporters. This may be true, but it could also be Limbaugh’s way of explaining why he won’t attack Trump himself. Could Limbaugh be “cheating on conservatism†with The Donald? Does he identify with Trump, or does Limbaugh’s hatred of the “establishment†run so deep that he is willing to tacitly support a questionably conservative candidate just to revel in the establishment’s defeat?
Limbaugh did not respond to PJ Media’s request for comment, but he may have hinted recently at the reason why he refrains from attacking The Donald -- as questionably conservative as Trump is, he is still better than Hillary Clinton. But is this understanding correct, or just another dodge?

Rush plays it close to the vest. But I’ll tell you this: He is loving that someone is FINALLY standing up to the establishment & the media. He’s been talking about that for years.

Well due to the democratic nominee being as left as they are. They are going to have to come right so our candidate may not have to move at all.

Rush Limbaugh, unlike his former friends (e.g. Mark Levin) is still in touch with reality.
And when the country he loves is under incredible attack by Obama, Jarrett, and the GOPe....

Rush isn’t stupid enough to look a gift horse in the mouth.
We must win this election at all costs, before all is lost.
Then seal the border, defeat ISIS/jihad/Iran/Muslim Brotherhood, and get our economy back on track.

Rush is in the same boat I’m in.
We’re happy to see Trump punch the media and the politically correct crowd in the mouth, but we have no interest in seeing him in the White House.
We may observe that politically it’s looking more likely, but THAT IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT!!!!!
Would we rather Trump than Hillary? Of Course....but that still is not an endorsement.
I’m donating to Cruz and promoting him in the Colorado Caucus process.
I think he is loving it too, but I think that it’s hitting closer to home than he’d like.
I was disappointed to NOT hear anything about the Murdoch connections again today, the support of Fox for Rubio and the Rubiofest which started last night after the debate.
Rush is holding back because of his friends, Ailes and Kelly. So, as much as he loves the media being exposed, he doesn’t like that he’s joined at the hip with some of them.
You hit on the main point.
How does one define conservative?
Seeking to fundamentally change the racial balance of the country is not conservative.
This is what Ted Kennedy wanted when he changed our immergration system! and it’s anything BUT conservative!
And since nothing else conservative can be accomplished if the entire 3rd world is here voting themselves the wealth of those who came here before them legally and earned it.
NOTHING else matters, if we dont FIRST fix this issue.
and NO ONE else in the race will fix this. Heck, it’s possible that Trump may not even be willing to do what is necessary.
But of the choices available to us, Trump is our best shot.
If anything it seems Rush is more pro Cruz. I commend him for being fair to Trump. Keep in mind, nothing like Trump has come along before in the modern era. Trump is not afraid of the media while everyone else bends over backwards to kiss their @ss.
Let’s see, big name developer, businessman, celebrity in NYC in a photo at some party/event - obviously - with two grifters. Just whom do you think is sucking up to whom?
Let me guess, you wouldn’t be satisfied unless he shot them right then and there. But you’d still have your doubts because they were in the same room together.
By that reasoning you’re just as guilty, we all are, we live in the same country.
Trump is replacing it with a gold plated bar stool with one giant leg called immigration enforcement.

Rush lost me when he reads that Elliot Abrams lie against Newt. It was on a Thursday before the Florida primary. I have not listened to him since. Talk about dirty campaign tricks.
I no longer believe that any so called Conservative Candidate can win the Presidency, the votes and demographics are not there.
To answer the headline question, no Rush is not betraying conservatives.
Rush talks mostly about those mostly in the news. With that said, he cannot escape Trump. Trump is at the top of the heap, there is a new phenomenon keeping him there. He goes to great lengths to analyze it.
He gives Cruz proportionate talk time, and I think it’s favorable.
Rush wants a Republican to win. Trump may be more of a populist or nationalist than a conservative, but he’s a dam site better than anything the GOPe has to offer. So is Cruz. With that said, I have zero problem with Rush talking up Trump.
The ones really betraying conservatives are the RINO’/GOPe wing of the Uniparty in the District of Corruption.

As a disclaimer, I refuse to fall prey to the MSM's attempt to destroy each and every one of our top three candidates by responding positively to the crap they are throwing on the wall.........
