...Donald Trump may have been conspicuously absent, but Thursday night's Republican debate on Fox News Channel nevertheless scored a 8.4 rating, according to preliminary numbers from Nielsen. That's higher than the preliminary rating for the last Republican debate, Jan. 14 on sister net Fox Business Network.

"2nd lowest rated debate."

In other words, the lowest rated debate on a MAJOR news network....

I have never voted for a Democrat and never will. I usually watch every debate out there, I am a political junkie. But after watching one Democrat debate this year, I couldn’t tolerate it any more. They have nothing to say that doesn’t raise my blood pressure too much.

Have you voted for a democrat, and are you watching the democrat debates?

Why don’t they mention that this debate was on FOX and the prior one on FOX Business? One of the reasons we no longer have cable is because the cost for the bundle which included FOX Business increased sharply. Lot of cable viewers probably don’t pay the premium cost to get FOX Business. You can’t watch what you choose not to pay extra for so they are comparing oranges and hamburgers.

Contrary to what all the talking heads are saying about why Trump missed the debate all of them are wrong.

Trump missed the debate to isolate FOX news as so biased that during the general election FOX will not be participating in any debates where a democrat, probably Hillary, will be questioned by anyone other than her fawning allies in the MSM.

SCORE
Conman Trump-1
Fawning Trump supporters-0

“I could give several, but I choose not to have another useless debate with any more Trump worshipers.”

Oooo. What elitist nose in the air snobbery do we have here?
A very sure way of NOT backing up a spout one has quipped.
It was mostly the same bloviating as usual because with the attacks
all seemingly focused on Cruz and no Trump there to bring anything fresh to the debate it would be best said that
a little ironing out of old issues and airing out of some
hypocrisy of the candidates themselves, there really
wasn’t much new brought to the table.
This comment should spur you into actually proving your
point, if you can. Well?

I’ve been resolved to vote for DT if he’s the nominee but even that is starting to feel too slimy.

On the plus side, Cruz supporters have no cult to wake up from, and already DT’s fans are starting to peel off.

“Trump missed the debate to isolate FOX news as so biased that during the general election FOX will not be participating in any debates where a democrat, probably Hillary, will be questioned by anyone other than her fawning allies in the MSM.”

That’s going to happen whether Trump shows up, doesn’t
show up or even drops out of the race and moves to mars.

“Trump missed the debate to isolate FOX news as so biased...”
That part was right, the rest? Naaaaaaaaaaaa.

“Have a pleasant day.”

So now you insult Twain by using him as a rock to crawl under. Typical.

The comparison is disingenuous. FBN was lower, but has a significantly lower footprint.

“Have you voted for a democrat, and are you watching the democrat debates?”

I’ve watched all of the debates. Yes I have voted for a democrat,
John Cornyn.

The liberal at work that I was talking about is a fool. We
all like to agree with him and string him along. He is
relatively informed, up to date with the typical liberal
talking points and is a great reminder of what a true
liberal really is. He knows he’s wrong but he doesn’t care.
He would much rather everyone live equally in hell on earth
rather than have anyone more prosperous than the other.

The tard: “I haven’t been watching the Republican debates
because of Trump”

Co-worker: “He wasn’t in the debate last night”

Tard: “He’s still a republican and that was a republican debate”

Me: “but Trump wasn’t there”

Tard: “So”

Cruz supporters most assuredly have a cult, at least some. It has to do with insulting nonbelievers, just like some Trump supporters.

CSPAN is not rated.

That's really too bad since they had by far the best coverage of the Trump event and even your most basic television package includes C-SPAN.

“I could give several, but I choose not to have another useless debate with any more Trump worshipers.”

You got a link to one of those debates? Is posting a link
to one of your famous “Trump worshiper” debates to
much for you to crawl out from under Twain?

Steady? Faux got 25 million in the last debate. Got 11-13 million last night. For those that passed their math class that is close to half of their first debate. Average would be the word I would use to describe numbers.

Yah pure fox news spin.

It will be interesting to see the actual numbers compared against normal ratings.

In my opinion, a TRUE barometer would be "WHAT were the ratings for C-SPAN while Trump's event was being carried?"

I, and many, many others watched the entire event on C-SPAN UNINTERRUPTED.. and the phone calss from DEMS, Repubs, and Independents after it was over were ALL-100% PRO Trump.
