This is why the Drudge Report poll matters:

Full title

This is why the Drudge Report poll matters: In a bad year for polls, this online vote keeps demonstrating Trump fervor

One indicator that none of the experts have been looking to in their predictions or analysis is something that’s relatively new. It’s existed in previous campaigns, but it has distinguished itself significantly this year by being perhaps the most consistent indicator of how determined

Trump’s supporters are to stick with him. It’s the unscientific online poll of readers on The Drudge Report. Trump has dominated the Drudge online poll that has been taken after every televised debate, and, naturally, he loves boasting about it.

But this isn’t about who would win in November between Trump and Hillary. An online poll on a site beloved by conservatives would never accurately reflect that. But as a measure of fervor within a primary, it captures something real about the passion and the intensity of Trump’s support among the base.

The Iowa caucus, in many ways, will be the test of what Trump has built: Does he have a coalition which will turn out to back him, or is it an angry Internet-based coalition willing to vote online but not at the real polls?

And it is reasoning like that, is why Salon doesn’t matter.

It is not a poll. It is a popularity contest. There no protection against vo ing multiple time, thus being open to manipulation.

Trump 65.1, Cruz 17.2, Rubio 6.7. As of a couple minutes ago.

I think we'll have an indication on Monday night.

Personally I think Trump would be a terrible President and would be a 'yuge' disappointment to conservatives, so I am hoping against hope that his supporters turn out to be fans and not voters.

We'll know soon enough.

I think it does demonstrate Trump fervor. It is open to manipulation by everyone, equally.

For the record, I do only vote once.

Try voting multiple times and see what happens.

There’s no “fervor” with me. Back in June and July I sized them all up, and concluded that Trump is the most serious; forsaking his empire to try and turn the Country around....using his OWN money.

None of them, including my #2 choice, Cruz, have anything to lose. The sitting politicians can go back to their cushy sinecures, and the rest pretty much have a noble metal parachute, or better.....golden, such as Carly.

Yes, Trump CAN go back to his businesses, but he’s the one who risked the most, personally. But, he’s in no danger. In fact, I’m pretty sanguine and UNfervent, that Trump’s going to run the table.

“8 ball in the left corner pocket.”

I agree and share the same hope.

Do you remember the ad campaign against drugs several years back?

The kid, on drugs, is standing on the train tracks with the train bearing down. The friend is standing away from the tracks, intensely and horrifically aware of what is about to transpire, while the drugged kid is oblivious to her impending fate.

I feel like the friend, seeing the obvious train-wreck that's coming. Only when it comes to a Trump presidency, the train hits everybody.

Trump has a great Vet’s Health Plan. Any Vet can take their VA Healthcare ID card anywhere that accepts Medicare. That is every Hospital I know of. I can go to Vanderbilt.

Here is Trump’s plan. I posted it a few times earlier. This is great news for Vets.

Thinking back to all those previous polls years ago that Ron Paul dominated. That worked out well for him.

This way that you see yourself is the very reason people are not leaving Trump for Cruz. You have set yourself up as the “smart” one by claiming everyone else is dumb. It’s simply unappealing. There must be better arguments in favor of your chosen candidate as apposed to telling everyone else that they are stupid. The “you are a stupid dupe” argument is not helping Cruz’s numbers. Why?

What if the people supporting Trump aren’t stupid dupes but your friends, neighbors, and family.

LOL. Believe me I tried voting multiple times with Drudge. But unlike voting in most of the country, Drudge does have a form of Voter ID, so it was one device, one vote.

One vote per cookie. One can vote as many times as they like if they clear cookies each time.
