Trump: Ted Cruz is a Liar
Newsmax ^ | 01/26/2016 | Sandy Fitzgerald

Donald Trump Tuesday tore into rival GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz, calling him a "liar" and a "nasty" person who nobody likes — and said he is a "lone wolf" like President Barack Obama, only "more strident."

"Ted Cruz lies," the front-runner for the party's nomination told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program. "He is a liar. That's why nobody likes him. That's why the Senate people won't endorse him. He stands in the middle of the Senate floor and can't make a deal with anybody. He's a jerk."

Disclosure: I was answering you as if Kelo were the bulldozer case, and it hit me after I had an entire post written. So, you’re not alone with trouble keeping cases apart thread after thread. Best Regards, Springfield.

No doubt, but to suggest there isn’t ‘stuff’ that will surface regarding Cruz, is naive. It will be a free for all by the time November rolls around.

Well ok, you say so. I saw it a more of a joke.

Time will reveal all.

It’s really rather simple isn’t it? Yes, not enough face palms for sure.

Yep, keep avoiding the troubling issues this ad brings up and pretend nobody else besides Cruz will demand answers. That’s sure to work out well... NOT.

Do you have any proof of that?

Those are serious accusations that you are making

Donald Trump or his companies can not use eminent domain, period, you can not use eminent domain, I can not use eminent domain. Atlantic City can but they failed in court.

The government did offer “assessed value” of the property

The property we are talking about is a 18 room boarding house, that was used at a transient “motel”, not exactly, a lil two bedroom bungalow where Grandma lives.

Trump and the previous owner both admit that Trump did offer a million dollars for the property on numerous occasions, even after Atlantic City lost the eminent domain case.

The property was sold a couple years ago for $504,000 in auction to Carl Icahn who promptly demolished the building. Trump did not demolish the home.

If you saw old photos of this home, you see a Casino being built around the house, that was another project, unrelated to Trump, that went bankrupt, Trump eventually bought that project and demolished the unfinished casino. And used it for parking for his casino across the street.

Trump wanted to buy Coking out and she refused to sell. Rumor has it that he offered up to 5 million plus a life long use of a Florida Condo, but she still refused. The 1 million dollar offer is the offer that both admit to in public.

You seem unable to follow the thread. It’s about Trump’s claim that Cruz lies. Of course his supporters disagree. They wanted an example. Hence my prior post, which you evidently didn’t read. Because if you had, surely you’d have answered the questions.

Again.

How did Trump get rich on eminent domain when Atlantic City lost the case and Trump’s vastly larger offer was refused?

If the truth is so bad, why lie?

Looks like there are a number of “takers” here at FR.

I really don’t care about your nit picking. I’m still waiting for Trump, or his supporters to address the real issue, which is: why did Trump think it was alright to use the brute force of government to forcibly take another citizen’s private property and redistribute it to himself?

So far, I haven’t heard Trump, or any of his supporters actually offer an answer to that question, which makes me think either none of them see an issue with that behavior, or they are willing to excuse any overreach on Trump’s part, no matter how egregious.

Interesting that you think Cruz telling a bold faced, slanderous lie is nitpicking. I gain new insights into Cruz supporters every day.

“Interesting that you think Cruz telling a bold faced, slanderous lie is nitpicking.”

Seeing as the only nonfactual thing any Trump supporter has been able to cite in the entire ad is a simple preface that doesn’t have anything to do with the “meat” of the ad, the actual allegations, of course it is nit picking. It’s the very definition of nit picking!

Cruz says Trump got rich off eminent domain. Nothing could be further from the truth. In the real world, that is a particularly nasty lie. For you, it’s a mere nitpick.

Explains so much...

How do you know that he used government to take that property?

Did it occur to you that the government wanted take that property because it was sucking services out of the city? The property was a 18 room boarding house, I am sure every cop in town has visited the place at one point in time.

So I could see this as Atlantic City stepping in because Trump could not secure the property and knock down a building that is causing decline of the neighborhood. They call this “Urban Renewal”

Is is right? I don’t like it either, but it isn’t against the law. Plenty of properties have been seized through eminent domain and turned into stadiums for wealthy team owners, no body cared about those people. I saw an entire working class neighborhood in New Jersey get leveled so posh condos can get built. Blue collar shore homes also got knocked down so a developer can build 800K ocean front condos. This all has happened. So where is Ted Cruz or any of your righteous people defending these wronged people? Oh wait, you didn’t care, the only people who came to the rescue were left wing legal groups. Not a single right wing group stepped up to the plate on any of these “illegal acts of government”

So please, save me the “Donald kicking the poor old lady out to the cold” nonsense, it happened to real people and not a single one of you did anything about it, not even your savior Ted Cruz.

Eminent Domain: Government Taking Private Property to Enrich Wealthy Donors like Trump.

Lie Trump never acquired one square inch of property via eminent domain.

It (eminent domain) made him rich.

Lie Trump never made a single dime via eminent domain

Like the time when Trump colluded with Atlantic City insiders to bull doze the home of an elderly widow.

Big misrepresentation Trump offered her 4x the value of her house and Trump never bull dozed the house it was still standing when Trump folded up in Atlantic City.

Trump won't change the system he is what is wrong with it

Lie, Trump follows the law. He is squeaky clean and earned every dime he has made honestly.

Ted Cruz is a liar.

“Big misrepresentation Trump offered her 4x the value of her house and Trump never bull dozed the house it was still standing when Trump folded up in Atlantic City.”

See, this is the closest any Trump supporters get to actually addressing the allegations, but you still don’t actually address them.

Why did Trump think it was okay to use the brute force of government to forcibly take another citizen’s property and redistribute it to himself?

Don’t tell me “oh he offered her money first”, that’s irrelevant. Don’t tell me “oh he didn’t win”, that’s irrelevant too. Until you guys actually address that question, you are just deflecting.

“How do you know that he used government to take that property?”

He tried to acquire it on his own and failed, and then the government stepped in, in an unprecedented action to take the property away and give it to a private company (which was unconstitutional and illegal at that time), and that company was Trump’s. If you want to believe that was just some giant coincidence, I guess you can, but I’d say you’re a sucker. The government does not do things to help private companies out of the goodness of the government’s heart, because the government does not have a heart.

“Did it occur to you that the government wanted take that property because it was sucking services out of the city?”

No, that’s pretty ludicrous to think that the only “blighted” property in the city that the government ever tried to use that strategy on just happened to be this one that Trump needed to finish his parking lot. Why not a crack house? Why not a brothel? One can’t argue that this was the most “blighted” property in the city, so it doesn’t hold up.

“Is is right? I don’t like it either, but it isn’t against the law.”

Actually, it was against the law, and against the highest law in the land, the Constitution. Only recently, after the Kelo vs. New London SC decision did this type of thing suddenly become “constitutional”.

“Not a single right wing group stepped up to the plate on any of these “illegal acts of government””

False, conservatives have been up in arms about this type of thing ever since Kelo Vs. New London.

The entire premise of the ad is that Trump used eminent domain (stealing) to get rich. That is a lie, and the factoid Cruz uses to “prove” his lie is a false narrative of what actually happened. Trump has never taken so much as 1 sq. inch of property via eminent domain. The old lady, probably her son, was trying to shake down Trump. Trump offered 4x (2 million) the value of the house. She wanted 8x (4 million) the value of the house. I do not agree with Trump on eminent domain. I think he is wrong and I think the Supreme Count was wrong, terribly wrong on Kelso. But there are far worst problems facing the country and Trump get the important things like immigration, border security, trade and ISIS pigs right.

“The old lady, probably her son, was trying to shake down Trump.”

Oh this is just too much. Trump tried to basically steal her property and Trump is somehow the victim?

Give me a freaking break!

But of course ignore the content of my post and pick out a single sentence you disagree with and respond to that. Typical move by someone losing an argument. I think you are really Boogiegirl not Boogieman. But if you want to try again here's my post
