How do you know that he used government to take that property?

Did it occur to you that the government wanted take that property because it was sucking services out of the city? The property was a 18 room boarding house, I am sure every cop in town has visited the place at one point in time.

So I could see this as Atlantic City stepping in because Trump could not secure the property and knock down a building that is causing decline of the neighborhood. They call this “Urban Renewal”

Is is right? I don’t like it either, but it isn’t against the law. Plenty of properties have been seized through eminent domain and turned into stadiums for wealthy team owners, no body cared about those people. I saw an entire working class neighborhood in New Jersey get leveled so posh condos can get built. Blue collar shore homes also got knocked down so a developer can build 800K ocean front condos. This all has happened. So where is Ted Cruz or any of your righteous people defending these wronged people? Oh wait, you didn’t care, the only people who came to the rescue were left wing legal groups. Not a single right wing group stepped up to the plate on any of these “illegal acts of government”

So please, save me the “Donald kicking the poor old lady out to the cold” nonsense, it happened to real people and not a single one of you did anything about it, not even your savior Ted Cruz.

“How do you know that he used government to take that property?”

He tried to acquire it on his own and failed, and then the government stepped in, in an unprecedented action to take the property away and give it to a private company (which was unconstitutional and illegal at that time), and that company was Trump’s. If you want to believe that was just some giant coincidence, I guess you can, but I’d say you’re a sucker. The government does not do things to help private companies out of the goodness of the government’s heart, because the government does not have a heart.

“Did it occur to you that the government wanted take that property because it was sucking services out of the city?”

No, that’s pretty ludicrous to think that the only “blighted” property in the city that the government ever tried to use that strategy on just happened to be this one that Trump needed to finish his parking lot. Why not a crack house? Why not a brothel? One can’t argue that this was the most “blighted” property in the city, so it doesn’t hold up.

“Is is right? I don’t like it either, but it isn’t against the law.”

Actually, it was against the law, and against the highest law in the land, the Constitution. Only recently, after the Kelo vs. New London SC decision did this type of thing suddenly become “constitutional”.

“Not a single right wing group stepped up to the plate on any of these “illegal acts of government””

False, conservatives have been up in arms about this type of thing ever since Kelo Vs. New London.
