I think that sentence really highlighted the lengths people are going to in order to excuse Trump in this matter. If you’re willing to try and paint Trump as the victim, when he was trying to use government force to steal someone’s property, that tells us all we need to know, I think.

The big evil government stole homes from working families, homes that they owned, demolished them and turned the vacant lot over to a wealthy developer who built condos.
But the developer wasn’t that evil Trump guy, so I guess they don’t matter right?
“Up in arms” is not action. So when real Grandmas were being kicked out of their paid for homes so a wealthy developer can build upper class condos, the conservatives were no where to be found of course.

Trump owned every square inch surrounding her property (besides the sidewalk/streets), so he was the ONLY possibly beneficiary of the state action.
He also wanted to use eminent domain to seize property in a separate case in Connecticut, but the deal fell through.
As for your contentions that conservatives never cared about these issues before, they are so flat out wrong they don’t even deserve to be addressed. Anyone foolish or dishonest enough to say that shouldn’t even be posting here.
Again, the case was Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (Atlantic City Government) vs. Coking, not Trump vs. Coking
Sure Trump was going to benefit, and Trump was negotiating with Coking before during and after the case. Trump admits to this fact and Coking said he only made offers before and after the case.
You came on here and stated that Trump made his money using eminent domain, so far you have absolutely no proof of that. And the case wasn’t even what you thought it was. Glad I opened your eyes for you. Knowledge is power
As for the keyboard commandos who claim to dislike Kelo, but never done anything to prevent a kelo. Well actions speak louder then words. A left wing liberal lawyer group defended the Mount Holly neighborhood from the liberal big government types, not conservatives. This is how liberals stay in power, they create the problem and “solve” the problem and the elderly people who lived in those homes only see the people helping them but will never draw the connection that the people helping them are the same people harming them. You can’t fix Kelo by clicking like on facebook or trashing Donald Trump on FR
