As the race continues, you start seeing prominent people talking positively about Trump. The silent majority is not so silent.

No Buchanan had nothing like this appeal.

My point is that you are seeing more and more positive stories of support for Trump. That is all. Trump has one principle I understand that he lives by. No publicity is bad publicity. And when the publicity is even positive for Trump it is even better.

Pat Buchanan never campaigned like he actually wanted to be President. He just wanted to influence the narrative and make money for him and his sister.

Donald Trump is in it to win!

Smerconish?

The “Reagan Republican” who supported Obama?

Smerconish can go to hell. I’ll never watch the traitor’s show or listen to him.

He’ll do anything to advance his career. He’s a scumbag.

I don't think Buchanan ever said anything nice about Obama and Hillary. Or gave money to liberals.

of course not. Pat is a relic of a past so far gone, so over, so dated, so out of touch, he was pretty much irrelevant in the real world.

Trump is pro Israeli even if the Israeli establishment refuses to admit that. Buchanan hates Israel.

You have to be careful with the “positive stories.”

Many of these types of stories appear to be “positive” and what they are really doing is recasting through a “negative” lens.

Pigeon-holing Trump as the “new Buchanan,” who never got much support and was branded (and villified) as an xenophobic isolationist, is NOT a compliment. It is intended to allow those who are wondering what his popularity is all about to DISMISS him as “just another right-wing kook.”

And never trust Smerconish. He is an opportunist of the worst stripe and will always do his master’s bidding. And his masters bid him to destroy Trump.

He was, back then.

But read his books. While he seemed extreme and resentful back then, his books have proven to be prophetic.

Trump will do fine WITHOUT Pat’s help. But the media may again give Pat the stage to try to make Trump look bad.

Is Trump the new Pat Buchanan?

While I like Buchanan, from the suggestion embedded in the phrase, it is an attempted hit on Trump. I assume Buchanan set him straight.

By now, you should know that Trump cannot be pigeon holed. He turns every crap story into lemonade. I’m not even concerned about that.

Consider this. Trump’s social media subscribers are going up by 1 million per month. He currently has 12 million subscribers and by next November he will have over 25 million. With retweets that means he is currently reaching 25 million every day. By election time it will be over 50 million.

He is absolutely crushing his fellow candidates in that regard. With that kind of growth you simply cannot be pigeon holed.

I hope not, most of Pat Bs’ supporters got zotted here. Shame if that were to happen to the Trump supporters.

I agree. Success is attractive. One can not ignore rallies of thousands turning out in 20 degree weather in Blue states to see a Republican.
