Democrats think Christians bigger threat than Muslims [Psalms 93]
World Net Daily ^ | 12/28/2015 | Bob Unruh

Posted on 12/29/2015 1:12:35 PM PST by Jan_Sobieski

A new poll reveals that 45 percent of the Democrats who responded believe that Christians are a greater threat to America than Muslims. No shock that 72 percent of atheists agree. But the surprise is that 18 percent of those who consider themselves ”very conservative” agree. As do 29 percent of Protestants. And 23 percent of Catholics. Interestingly, the sample of Muslims was very small, but 100 percent said it is Muslims who are the greater danger.

The results are from a new WND/Clout poll by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio. The telephone survey of registered voters was taken Dec. 18-27, except for the holiday, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.35 percentage points. Poll chief Fritz Wenzel said, “A surprising finding in the survey shows that one in three respondents said they believe Christians pose a greater threat to America than do Muslims. Among Democrats, 45 percent said Christians are more dangerous than are Muslims, while 36 percent of political independents said the same. Among Republicans, 20 percent said Christians are the greater threat.”

[...]

[...]

“A majority of blacks said Christians were the greater threat, but all other races said Muslims were the greatest threat to America,” he said.

I don’t see how pride plays a part in that.

i’m serious. i’m interested.

what would I be proud of? that I was right and they were wrong?

again, i’m serious, as you seem well educated on the religious issues.

not a very prideful person lol. don’t have much reason to be.

btw, always respect your posts. might get made because they’re not what I want to hear, and that anger might show in my posts, but I always respect them

I don’t see you as one who would get ruffled by an angry response anyway.

I talk about pride a lot, and that’s a theological concept as much as what a lot of people call obvious vanity or egotism.

It’s the idea that we have to run the show. It contrasts to grace, which is letting God run the show. What we would call feelings of pride would also get replaced, by feelings of awe.

It is like getting hit on the head with a hammer too. It really feels so good when it stops. This was the booby trap of the prize that the serpent offered in Eden. Oh, you can know good and evil just like God. Well, we can’t. We’re finite; God isn’t. But the attempt gets us chasing our tails in a very painful loop. And because we are invested in it, we can’t stop either. Till the appearance of what is theologically called grace.

I see my mission as trying to put these truths of faith into plain language. From that point either God is heard, or He isn’t.

But most of all, I try to talk about it in a way that makes it as obvious as possible that the gospel is good news, not bad. God wants us to give up a racket and get real wealth again. I’m just trying to let everybody know about it. I can’t make anybody choose it. That would be impossible. It would be an oxymoron against the concept of love. But I can do my level best to give it good publicity.

It’s very hard to see past my finite vision.

anger, rage, hate, human emotions along with pride and envy and lust and greed and sloth and gluttony.

Boy, that’s ALOT to overcome!!

all not easy to control.

Of course they will think so. This country is in a cold war. The left is 10 times the bigger threat than ISIS. I’ll flat out say it. I’m not afraid of anything out of Hamtramck. I’m more afraid what comes out of Ann Arbor.

Well guess what. God has already promised that He will swallow all this junk up in grace.

This is one of the harder things to sell in gospel preaching. What, this God that seemed to be just ignoring me if not playing pranks on me, is saying He will take all my grief away and replace it with joy? What the hell are you smoking?!?

But here’s the sockdollager. IT’S TRUE!!

And the more childlike you can let yourself get in your faith, the quicker you enter through that door. It really does roll back a life time of spiritual woe and folly.

From someone who was called a Christian Taliban (”my ex) of course Christians are a threat. A threat to pedophiles, pre-born human murderers, sexual deviants of all kinds, liars, thieves, con artists, corrupt politicians at ALL levels, communists, bankers, lawyers, lobbyists, and anyone else who is offended by the ten commandments and the knowledge that loving the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and mind, plus loving your neighbor as yourself is the greatest way to live. So what else is new?

What happens when one believes on Jesus Christ (to receive the saving love He is approaching with) is a recasting of one’s spiritual battle.

Most of us probably know something like a karma system. You get rewarded for doing right, punished for doing wrong. But you never really get very far doing right in it. You’re living for yourself and just trying to minimize the pain.

When Christ takes your case over (when you permit Him to), now you are in a “guaranteed victory battle.” It really is that good, though it might not feel that way at first. And the devil, the king of this world, will give you hell. Literally. But you will begin to see a power appearing in you that pushes back, more and more and more as time progresses, with more and more and more success. That power is Christ. And you will find that you can’t quit the battle either. God will hem you in to make sure you keep fighting, till you realize what your advantage is.

Confusions can sometimes appear.

Some people don’t even hate Christians as much as they hate mockeries of Christian faith.

***I do not believe it is possible for person to be a “saved Christian” and a Democrat.***

I agree 100%. After funding Planned Parenthood, I’m now feeling the same about Republicans.

Christians have to separate themselves from their evil as well.

*** That’s insane. I am an atheist. I know who will nag me as opposed to who would kill me. I mean, let’s get real.***

I’m so glad you commented. Like someone else said, even though the sample was small, 100% of Muslims believe Muslims are more dangerous. That tells you all you need to know.

I’m a Christian. I’m not afraid you’ll chop my head off because I’m Christian. And you don’t have to worry about Christians. This is insanity!

Preach it Brother!!!

God’s gift of love is free and very real and is truly lovely when shared. I know this because I accepted His gift and indeed, nothing compares!

Hey, I’m Jewish. You should see the list of those who don’t like me but I can say that most Christians are friends of Jews, and Jews are getting a better sense of what Christians are undergoing in the Middle East and here at home.

We’ve been there and know about it. Jewish Dems who support Obama are no longer true Jews despite what they say. They have sold their souls to the devil for some power and prestige, and have turned a blind eye to the real world, real evil, and a potential future Holocaust.

Unfortunately the older black generation which was helped by Jews in the civil rights movement, in education (many Jewish refugees from Europe taught at the all black southern universities in the 30’s - 60’s), and on a personal level, are gone. The next few generations have been raised on hate of white, Jews, conservatives, Republicans, and the hard-working Black middle class who are law abiding, decent people.

THe anti-Semitism of the Marxist Left and the Black Left is overwhelming, esp. on campuses, but Christians on campuses are now getting their fair share of commie/black extremist/Islamic hate.

We’re all in the same boat so let us row together, in unison, and take our country back!

We are. To them, anyway. The people of Satan will always feel threatened by the people of God. Hopefully with good reason.

I suspect she thinks all the wrong people are using the rights the Constitution says automatically belong to Americans. She also is ‘very grateful’ to the wonderful people from south of the border who came here to work in construction after Katrina. They are almost as great as the ghetto blacks who make the local culture so ‘colorful and vibrant’. The groups she dislikes are lower middle class white people who are either believers in traditional values and roles and/or Evangelicals. They are ‘crude and mean’. White guys who do hard work manual labor should just know their place. Needless to say she is a vocal ‘pro-choice’ mom.
