Karl Rove to Newsmax: Trump Needs to Quit Calling Foes 'Clowns and Morons'
Newsmax ^ | 11/25/15 | Bill Hoffmann

Karl Rove says Donald Trump may very well win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

But the influential GOP consultant and policy adviser, in an exclusive interview with Newsmax TV, adds the billionaire developer's acidic attacks on his fellow candidates could hurt his chances.

"He's taken the lead - took the lead in July and held it. He's got a chance to win the nomination," Rove said Wednesday on "Newsmax Prime" with J.D. Hayworth.

"His challenge is, he's created a high floor, but a low ceiling. It's sort of hard to grow when you've taken on the habit of excoriating everybody else in the race calling them 'losers' and 'clowns' and 'morons' and personally belittling them."

I’m not suggesting he bow to the media and screw them - we know what they are about. I am suggesting Trump minimize friendly fire when it’s not needed. Reagan (most successful conservative we have had in my lifetime) had the same rule.

Trump doesn’t do friendly fire.

He has made that clear more than a hundred times.

Thus everything else you said was nothing.

I wish Trump would study the life of this man because he led the closest thing to a national revival that I will see in my lifetime.

No, Obama did that.

but it does bother many outside that group, including many conservatives.

I'd be in that category, for sure....his New York 'tude wore out his welcome with me many moons ago. There's no way I'd ever vote for a guy who's a total prick.

Young nube, Regan was hated hated hated in 1979, 1980.

And he did not win because he was a conservative in 1980.

He won because of the Iranian Hostage Crisis and was perceived to be a 1st class badass hardline son of a b*tch who was ready to start WWIII with the Soviets.

And Jimmy Carter was perceived as a major embarrassment, causing democrats to stay home in droves.

So Reagan slid in due to Carter’s incompetence and the first day Reagan took office, the hostages were freed because the Iranians *ssholes were scared out of their wits.

It was later, about two years into his first term that the American public began to fall in love with Reagan’s conservatism and eloquence, Thus started the Reagan Revolution.

Donald Trump will be feared, so feared that he will set the world agenda and later into his term, Americans will wake up to just how classy he is.

“I agree. I have spent the last 8 years cringing every time this President opens his mouth. I want a President I can be proud of. Not one who mocks his opponents and makes fun of their looks. Is that asking too much?”

It might be. It’s like getting angry because many of our soldiers use strong language. Maybe that kind of language isn’t your thing, but when they’re the ones putting their lives on the line for the rest of us, allowing them that indulgence is the least that a grateful public can do.

Same with Trump. If he can accomplish what he’s promising, then not supporting him over his tone is definitely an example of putting the lesser ahead of the greater, especially when you look at what the alternatives are. The truth of the matter is that Trump is the only candidate who is fighting to win, and he’s fighting all the right people. The strong language and insults is how he fights. You can’t have Falstaff without the fat, and you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. O.K., I’m all out of cliche’s.

How about Tokyo Rove and Sour Krauthammer’s support for the winner of the Delaware Republican primary for U.S. Senator?

The pundits are totally clueless. The simple truth is that, unless the nominee happens to be Cruz, which is far less likely than Trump, millions will just stay home.

He won because of the Iranian Hostage Crisis...”

...just a side note. I took a young and pretty Middle Eastern girl out on a date during the crises. She mentioned her support for the Iranians. Date ended that second.

One thing Trump needs to keep in mind is if he’s elected then those clowns and morons will be needed to get his ambitious agenda into effect. The Democrats will obstruct every way that they can, he’ll need the Republican morons if he’s going to accomplish anything.

Thanks for that. Confirms for me a similar decision I had early last year when I was dating a pretty thing from Manhattan whose recently passed father had been a surgeon there.

Only problem was her father was a refugee in the late 1950s to Canada from Turkey and later got medically trained in Manhattan.

I thought she was secular like so many others from Turkey and I, as a Christian thought she would respect my Orthodox faith. But she began showing her Muslim sympathies and I detected the usual arguments for Islam over Christianity.

When I found out she preferred only ‘Halal’ food, that was too much for me so I stopped answering her phone calls while trying to figure out what to say. She called and left a nasty message about how I was “leading her on”. And then I knew I had made the right decision.

Christians and Muslims simply do not mix.
