Karl Rove says Donald Trump may very well win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
But the influential GOP consultant and policy adviser, in an exclusive interview with Newsmax TV, adds the billionaire developer's acidic attacks on his fellow candidates could hurt his chances.
"He's taken the lead - took the lead in July and held it. He's got a chance to win the nomination," Rove said Wednesday on "Newsmax Prime" with J.D. Hayworth.
"His challenge is, he's created a high floor, but a low ceiling. It's sort of hard to grow when you've taken on the habit of excoriating everybody else in the race calling them 'losers' and 'clowns' and 'morons' and personally belittling them."

From what I hear of the Donald, he only issues these kinds of punches if punched at. There’s respect between the Donald and certain others, e.g. Ted Cruz. Donald isn’t worried about low ceilings on those he floors for attacking him.

Karl Rove is responsible for Bush underperforming against the total retard that is John Kerry, and then he decided that voters wanted a half-assed Leftist in response to the Pelosi Crash of 2008. He should have his head soaked in pig fat, not babbling on a television screen about how ‘smart’ he is. That Fox News took him seriously was one of the primary reasons I banned Fox News from my household in 2000.

If Trump should happen to win the Republican nomination, it will not help his cause if he has insulted and alientated most all of his opponents and their supporters. His style puts off as many people as it attracts, and probably more so. It doesn’t bother his hardcore supporters (the “high floor/low ceiling”), but it does bother many outside that group, including many conservatives.

Rove’s work for Republican campaigns up until 2004 were some of the best achievements in American politics. It’s rare for a party to gain seats in congress when it holds the presidency. Rove and GWB did that twice in 2002 and 2004. Not even the almighty homobama could do that.
It will be difficult for anyone to repeat this, most especially the badly fading Rove.
Call them instead, “Giant Egg Heads With White Boards.”
