A friend of mine just tried killing herself tonight. She's in the emergency room and we're still waiting for news. Her name is Kylie and prayers are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nobody wants to feel so sad or desperate or hopeless on purpose
But if you end up needing medical attention after a suicide “attempt”
you’re really begging for help or someone to listen or in some cases it’s ill show you how much you hurt me
People will really want to die do it and they don’t need medical attention ...they need the coroner
I lament this person is so sad or hopeless or afraid or lonely
Many of us have been there
Anyone truly determined and uses absolute finality to commit suicide....do your family a favor and make sure they are not the ones who have to find you

Prayers for continued healing and for Kylie to turn to God to uncover what it is that robs her of her peace and purpose.

I regret not discussing God with a friend who had tried several times before finally succeeding.
Heartbreaking. With sadness in my heart, as a parent I can’t imagine. I shall hold your friend in my prayers, for the love of our Lord fills her with comfort and hope. Take care of yourself too Politicalkiddo, and know you are in my daily prayers as well.

Prayers up for Kylie.
Well you can believe that all prayers are answered. I’m sure many entertain this fantasy. But, to do so, one would have to ignore results of most prayer. My faith doesn’t have room for unanswered prayers.
For my part, I think that Mathhew 7:7 refers to seeking God through Christ. A non believer can find God simply by asking, seeking, and knocking. And, I do believe that anyone seeking God through Christ will find God.
Like I said before, I don’t pray for favors. My God already knows what is needed in all things, doesn’t need my opinion on them and certainly my $.02 from the peanut gallery does not sway Him.
