A Baptist church in Hattiesburg that is self-described as "a different kind of Baptist church" was kicked out of the Pine Belt Baptist Association.
A written statement by University Baptist Church Pastor Dr. Rusty Edwards said members of the association voted to dismiss UBC from its membership on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The statement specifically outlined University Baptist Church's decision to openly affirm the practice of a "homosexual lifestyle" into their church.
According to the statement, the church is listed as an "affirming" church on the website gaychurch.org.
The Pine Belt Baptist Association said that doctrine is inconsistent with the Baptist Faith and Message.

an SBC association. The Baptist Faith and Message is clear on homosexuality. Disfellowshipping this group is the only answer...
I went to their website, to see what other affiliations they may have, like Southern Baptist Convention. I didn’t find any, but there is a link to something called “Back Door Coffeehouse.” Eww! I don’t want to know.
They are affiliated with SBC? Are you sure?
SBC has been infiltrated a lot IMHO.
Wife & I left one that had been preaching nothing but Rick Warren nonsense. And it was SBC....
I’m glad to see the part about clergy not being allowed to stand present as a guest at any “same-sex wedding” or even at the reception. Good for him.

Well, one was kicked out here after having the first homo wedding. It wasn’t much of a SBC to begin with. I believe a female did the so called wedding. It does happen. Bless their little hearts.

Where did you get this story? I clicked the link, but they don’t have this story. I did a search of their site, and still couldn’t find anything about this.
Too bad the Episcopal church didn’t do this, and the Catholics better start thinking about it.
If you read their mission statement, it’s nothing but satanic twisting of words.

Yep, any church can call itself Baptist, but that doesn’t mean they follow the teachings in the Bible.
I know they kicked one out for affirming homosexual marriage. The Southern Baptist Convention does not support homosexual acts. I know some people like to pretend that they do, and they use fraudulent churches as proof.
