Harry Reid Gears Up For Massive Gun-Control Push

Senate Democrats are saddling up for another gun-control push in response to the shooting at Umpqua Community College. Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced Monday that he is reaching out to Democratic senators on moving background checks legislation.

If “we don’t take action, we are equally responsible for innocent deaths as the sick individuals who plot and carry out these horrific measures,” Reid declared Monday on the Senate floor. “One thing is clear: To pass background checks, we need Republicans to stop acting as puppets of the NRA.”

Umpqua Community College was a Gun Free Zone.

Ban Gun Free Zones!

Is LaPierre going to endorse him again?
Oh, that’s right, Scumbucket Harry isn’t running anymore.
Think LaPierre will apologize for being wrong and telling US we were wrong?
Something’s up, so many jumping on the GunSnatch Bandwagon, even from our side.

Things being what they are in the US Senate, Dingy Harry might succeed, and succeed by a goodly margin.

It is as if he had never lost the job.

None of the proposed legislation would have prevented the massacre. This applies to this particular one, and to every other one. The ONLY thing that such legislation would actually do is burden law-abiding citizens that wouldn’t perpetrate such a massacre in 1,000 lifetimes - AND THIS IS THE GOAL.

I just wish that the Leftists/Statists would be honest and just tell us that they want to confiscate all guns...because that IS their goal. Of course, some unpleasantness might result if they were honest, starting with election results, so that’s why I don’t ever expect them to be honest until we can’t do anything about it.

However, Reid and his ilk should remember that there are about 400 million guns in this country. If you can’t find 11 million (really more like 30 million) illegals, how are you going to find 400 million guns? Guns that can be disassembled and placed in 5 different places, guns that can be buried, etc. (try that with people, it doesn’t generally work out very well).

There’s a general loss of courage setting into the country. There’s the obvious chickenness of not wanting people to be able to have armed defense against nuts like this. But most of those who were there seemed to be satisfied to just wish and hope, instead of taking the risk of leaping upon the gunman. While I am not 100% sure what I would do while there, I think I would be more satisfied in my soul risking my life to at least TRY to stop the attacker in mid-assault by whatever means God furnished to me, than to be perfectly safe while having done nothing. Call it redneck indignation or whatever you want. But a man’s got to draw a line somewhere.

Bring it on Dingy!!! "Make our day!"

Law abiding gun owners don't take kindly to threats to our Second Amendment RIGHTS!!

So far, there are more law abiding, honest gun owners and defenders of the Second Amendment than there are illegal aliens, and we are willing and able to vote liberals out of office!!!

Eternal grudges are not good, but neither is wallowing in cowardice. If you throw away your support forever why should they care? You lose leverage.

If he does, it will be because of an America that has lost courage. The America of even 50 years ago would have tarred and feathered him, in effigy if not in reality.

We can’t just sit and blame politicians and then go our way exonerated of all responsibility.

Well I'm not going to be to popular with this post, so fire away people, I'm ready:

This is a long, dark road that Reid is going down...there are to many of us, including me, that have guns and ammo..and I'm NOT giving mine up, don't know about the rest of you, but I'm NOT...

You start going down this road and there is going to be something far worse than ISIS or immigration going on...far worse...

There is a reason the NRA isn't coming out with stuff right now...and the House and Senate spineless sissies will be running as fast as they can to get away from all of it...they haven't got the guts or the balls to stand up to an ‘armed America’ ....

Reid is trying to get obuma to enact ‘martial law’ to block the election because he knows what lays down this dark road...he's a puppet and lip service to the idiots that want to control America...but...

Something is happening in America right now, people are not laying back taking their crap anymore, they are coming out and saying and doing things that haven't been done for years, and they keep ‘poking the bears with the sticks’ and they are all going to reap what they are about to sow...beware FRiends, things are just starting to stir...taking away our Second Admendent rights is the begining, but not the end of it....

We already have Background Checks.

How would anything that Harry wants implemented prevent the latest Obama Fantasy Son from doing what he did?

Maybe if Harry got him a Vegas Hooker.

The real crisis, ma’am, is courage.

Arms are but one artifact of it.

Saw where some of these fact checkers were, as usual with anything involving the left’s favorite subjects, apply lots of qualifiers and conditions to their viewpoint to obfuscate the truth. “This really wasn’t a gun free zone”.

But, anything dealing with the right is taken as literally as possible with no context, like “Ted Cruz wants to burn gays at the stake in Times Square - we find this to be TRUE!”

Or some such pablum...

Hey, Harry, I'm NOT a puppet of the NRA, but I am an ardent supporter of the Constitution!!! Have you ever heard of the Constitution?? Do you support it???
