Trump: I support Putin 'bombing the hell' out of ISIS
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/4/15 | Al Weaver

Posted on 10/04/2015 5:54:44 PM PDT by markomalley

Donald Trump does not trust Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he is supportive of one thing Putin is doing on the world stage.

During an interview with "Meet The Press" Sunday, Trump told moderator Chuck Todd that he supports Putin going out and "bombing the hell" out of the Islamic State in Syria, despite that they are doing so to support Syrian President Bashir al-Assad.

"I like that Putin is bombing the hell out of ISIS, and it's going to be ISIS. I'll tell you why — Putin has to get rid of ISIS because Putin doesn't want ISIS coming into Russia," said Trump, who leads the Washington Examiner's latest power rankings.

However, Trump made it clear that he does not trust the Russian president when pressed by the host.

"I don't trust him," Trump said. "I don't trust him at all — other than we both got very good ratings the other night on '60 Minutes' 'cause it was with me and Putin. Can you believe this? So I don't know. Did I get the ratings or did he?"

"It's not a question of trust," Trump said. "We've spent now — we've spent $2 trillion in Iraq, probably $1 trillion in Afghanistan. We're in there — we're destroying our country. We owe $19 trillion, we're bogged down. Russia was bogged down in Afghanistan, meaning the Soviet Union. It broke up the Soviet Union. They're going to get bogged down, you watch."

"I would sit back and lets see what's going on," Trump said. "I'm not justifying Putin, but you watch — he'll get bogged down there. He'll be there, he'll spend a fortune, he'll be begging to get out."

Actually Putin is bombing ISIS too, if you believe news reports. He has likely down more damage to them in two days than we have in two years under Bath House Barry’s leadership.

Today on TV RT (Russian friendly/sponsored?) the crawl said that 60 attacks had been made, with 50 of them against ISIS. My worry at the moment is what the HECK happened at the hospital in Kunduz, Afgh.

They aren’t going in our direction this very minute anyhow, are they?

Anyone Putin kills in Syria is likely not a Christian, because the US allowed all Christians to be killed.

Whatever 0 did was wrong. Someone post that picture of McCain with the “moderate terrorists.”

Amazingly, none of the other Republican candidates have any chance of winning, so I assume you are supporting a Democrat of your choice to have a better impact on this situation than will Trump.

Which idiot are you backing?

I really get a kick out of the Trump bashers on this forum.

Ok, so you’re in favor of us sending our troops in to confront Russia.

Once we pulled, our influence and whatever we gained there was gone. We could have been a stabilizing force, for years, but we pulled out....

Now there are no good options....NONE. Putin sees that. He has 150,000 troops there to link up with Iran, and to take over the whole region.

We screwed up, and I can’t see one of our soldiers staying there. Obama better pull out the remaining people there now in Iraq, or build our forces up there now, but to leave a hand full there, and fly a few sorties... is looking for trouble.

Putin knows that Obama will do nothing. And frankly, no one else can either for now.

Why aren’t the media reporting about the Oregon shooter being ISIS?

ISIS getting bombed and this fairy boy in the white house has not come out with any kind of plan publically. The media would rather talk about letting cross dressers into the military WTH. Fairy boy gets a pass again over his failed foreign policy and the establishment wants pathetic lets go to war with Russia over a no fly zone.

The world is a mess because of the lack of leadership by the fairy boy and no one will say anything.

I personally dont care what Putins reasons are for killing ISIS, I just care that he unlike Obama is actually killing them.

How about some up to date news about Rubio...

For instance, GOP presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 80% —whose campaign predicts he will be in first place by February—has introduced a new foreign worker bill which would substantially increase Muslim immigration. His bill, known as the I-Squared bill, has been described as the “gold standard of high-tech reform,” by billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s immigration lobbying group.

The bill would essentially lift green card caps for foreign students and triple the number of foreign workers admitted on visas. This initiative will help businesses like Disney in Rubio’s home state of Florida expand its profits by keeping down the cost of labor.

A candidate that isn’t promising to start World War Three with Russia?

Good.

It’s all relative, Sam. In reality, “flip-flops” on this issue have been quite common in the Republican field. If you’re going to be critical, at least be consistent in your criticism.

“....Trump’s brash statement that Rubio is or was “in favor of immigration” omits that fact that, at the time when Rubio and his Gang of Eight was pushing immigration reform, Trump was far weaker on deterring illegal immigration than Rubio was. Since that time, Trump has been wildly inconsistent on the issue.

Trump’s current hardline immigration position is at odds with his years-long feat of waffling on immigration that continues to this day.

Your premise is wrong here, and you've gone off from my point besides.

If there's not one with a better chance than Trump in the general, we really are screwed.

RT is Russian Television. We're going to have a real problem knowing who they're attacking, and we for sure can't trust Russia for that info.
