Sorry for the choppy excerpt. Such is life in 300 words or less. Interesting read. He even punked her on what color she could have.

If you read the article at the site, one of the commenters responded, “No wonder he told her sorry.”

Yea, if she had stayed he might have made even more $ from her naivety.

An article claiming that Apple's Steve Jobs got the best of Carly Fiorina in the HP iPod deal in the early 2000s. . . what do you think? Did Jobs cut a good deal or a bad deal for HP and Apple? — PING!

Check this out. My daughter found an iPhone today in the street. She said it had an "outer" and showed me hers. I said that it shouldn't stop damage.

She was wondering about the GPS and pretty soon it rang, was the owner, so she returned it. Actually she agreed to leave it at the desk where she was at her appointment and the student would pick it up.

She didn't think it was damaged but said it looked like several cars had run over it from the scuff marks on the outer box. It was one of our busiest streets by a college. Those cases must be super tough.

Too bad she didn't snap a picture of it lying in the street with her iPhone 4.

This article claimed that Carly Fiorina's HP had been somehow duped by Steve Jobs into not selling the "latest" iPod while Apple was selling different, newer iPod models. Simply NOT true. Initially, HP only offered the 20 and 40 GB 4th-generation iPods. HP later added the iPod mini, the iPod photo, and the iPod shuffle to the lineup.[4] Thanks to HP's distribution network, the iPod+HP was sold in retailers where Apple did not have any presence at the time, which included Wal-Mart, RadioShack, and Office Depot. In other words, HP sold every iPod that Apple sold during that period.

iPod model 4

This author's so-called expertise counts for nothing if he doesn't know these facts and is using it only to bash Fiorina.

Would Donald Trump have made this deal if he ran HP at the time?

Thanks for posting this. I purchased my first iPod on eBay several years ago & it had the HP logo on the back. I never could figure that out, now I know. BTW, it didn’t last long.

Not a fan of Fiorina, but..

even at the program’s peak, it represented no more than about five percent of total iPod sales.

I'd gladly take that, especially when compared with five percent of Zune.

:)
