EXCLUSIVE: Russian officials have demanded that American warplanes exit Syrian airspace immediately, a senior U.S. official told Fox News early Wendesday.

The official told Fox News that Russian diplomats sent an official demarche ordering U.S. planes out of Syria, adding that Russian fighter jets were now flying over Syrian territory. U.S. military sources told Fox News that U.S. planes would not comply with the Russian demand

Re: Where are our Putin butt kissers to defend this? Those phony lowlife scumbags. Why they are allowed to remain on this site

Oh, here's one of them now...

You're worried about the hundreds of your fellow Chechen terrorists who happen to be in Syria right now. Don't worry. They will be dead soon.

"fellow Chechen terrorists"??? Phony lowlife scumbag was too kind a description of you.

First of all, your KGB/FSB pals in Russia were likely in on the early terrorist attacks in Russia. They have a long history of using terror tactics to achieve their aims. In this case, to justify retaking nations once under Soviet Union control. Your buddy Putin has repeatedly made it clear that he misses the old Soviet Union, stating in a speech that the worst geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century was the *demise* of the Soviet Union. He also has said that he believes Stalin deserves statues in his honor! Stalin, the guy who was personally behind the Soviets killing 10s of millions. Yeah, your boy Putin is a real saint, the new messiah.

Yemen comes to mind.

From what I've read in other articles, the Russians brought along top-tier anti-air missiles... and ISIS doesn't have an air force. The Russians are preparing for opposition from someone with modern jets... and it likely isn't us, since we have the weenie in office.

May God bless and watch over Israel.

We agree there, but I’m just worried that Pooty Poot won’t stop with just Syria.
**********************
There is an excellent chance he would NOT stop with Syria. Putin knows that Iraq is hanging on by a thread, and he also knows that Iran is depending on Russian support (or at least acquiescence) in order to pursue their nuclear goals.

Putin looks at the chess board and sees no threatening pieces directed at him, our ‘Queen’ in the White House is in no position to oppose him, so it is entirely possible that Putin sweeps the board.

A humiliating geopolitical defeat for the U.S.?

Absolutely. And whose fault?

Our fifth column of traitors, consisting of liberal ‘RATS, compromised GOPe-RINOs, and America-hating radicals.

America is going to either pull out of this death spiral in the next election cycle, or there is going to be blood in the streets. And a second American Revolution is going to be the focus, not international relations for a very long time.

Pretty accurate assessment, except I don't think Vlad wants the mad mullahs to actually get the Bomb.

re: a second American Revolution. I fear that may yet happen. I really fear it.

I don’t trust Putin at all, but are we sure this wasn’t just a heads-up to keep Russian and US planes from accidentally engaging each other?

On March 11, 2014, I wrote the following reply which think God has not been vindicated by events but which I believe lurks as a very real potential danger so long as Barack Obama is commander-in-chief:

We all understand that the danger of war with Russia increases because of Obama's pusillanimous foreign policy. It is not a new idea to understand that Obama invites aggression by his lack of clarity.

But we must also understand that the danger of war is increased by Obama himself. We must not believe that Obama will always be passive because his nature is to acquiesce to every affront. Nothing could be further from the truth. Obama is a radical, a Marxist, therefore he does not measure threats according to the same standard that all other presidents have used.

Obama will react with whatever it takes to defend and prosper his ideology. He will not necessarily react to threats which threaten his nation. One need only review the wars conducted by communists to understand that they are not pacifists but extremely bloodthirsty in the pursuit of the advancement of their ideology. More than 100 million have died at their hands. It is a commonplace to believe that the left abhors war, they do not, they exaggerate the brutality of war when war would advance or defend capitalism but they indulge in the murder of a whole generations, classes, or races to advance their own ideology. This is the mental matrix of Barack Obama.

Added to this new matrix inside Obama's head by which America's power is applied (or not applied), we have the extraneous but very dangerous reality that Obama himself is a narcissist. He associates his own well-being with the advancement of his radical anti-American, Marxist, anti-colonialist, pro-Islamicist ideology. In other words, to Obama the advancement of global justice as he defines it is synonymous with the maintenance of his own image. A threat to his image might well lead to a violent reaction. We have already seen the lawlessness of this administration, for example the lawlessness of the IRS in the election cycle of 2012 when Obama's personal career was at stake.

Under these circumstances it is impossible for actors on the international stage to know what will generate a violent reaction from Obama. The danger is that they will simply calculate that they can safely push and push without fear of reprisal. That is not true. They dare not push against Obama personally or against his ideology.

The problem is that it is extremely difficult to understand exactly what it is that motivates Obama. Too often we hear establishment Republicans criticize Obama for lack of experience on the job. This is a disservice to the nation.

So for a leader such as Vladimir Putin to proceed simplistically assuming that he knows his man is a very, very dangerous assumption and possibly even a miscalculation which could lead to war.

The office of Syrian President Bashar Assad is welcoming Russia’s decision to send troops to Syria, saying the military support came at the request of Damascus...

The statements came shortly after Russian lawmakers voted unanimously to let Putin send Russian troops to Syria. The Kremlin sought to play down the decision, saying it will only use its air force in the Mideast country, not ground troops.

Ground troops would be a significant escalation.

you seem more mad and bitter about Putin taking out ISIS and fellow freepers who give you an alternative view of yours than actually being angry how Obama is letting ISIS grow, his inaction, millions invading the west.

Very bizarre and everytime you read about Russia or Putin, even if it showing Obama up you act the same. It’s like a trigger inside you.

Russia Iran and Iraq have set up a coordinating center in Baghdad

So Iraq is in Putin’s anti islamic state coalition along with Syria, China, Iran

I believe obama could have retained a US footprint in central Iraq, with Russia and Syria to the west and Iran to the south

But obama was too weak, and too untrustworthy to do so

So again, Putin fills the leadership vacuum

I wonder when Iraq will order the US military air to leave ?

Don’t think so.

Putin is doing in Syria what 0bama did in Libya. He is establishing a no fly zone there, will control the direction of the war, and will install his own puppet to run the country. But it won’t be a Muzzy like 0bama wants.

Ground troops will be absolutely vital to separate the rats and roaches from their US weapons and scourge them from the civilians they hide among
Can’t win a guerrilla war with air power alone
They been teaching those lessons to the military since 1970

Putin could care less about ISIS. This is all about a power grab. Nothing less. Nothing more.

Most of the people posting positive stuff about Putin and Russian intentions I suspect know and understand that. They are our resident Putinistas. The others apparently just don't know very much about Putin and Russia, of their long history of deceptive tactics, their history of terrorism, their consistent support of our enemies, and their current expansionist aims.

Russia is currently preparing a massive attack on the Ukraine, building TWO major military bases on their border with them. They are also on closer than ever terms with the ChiComs, conducting annual joint war games and building a large seaport together, all with the obvious intent of countering the US and its NATO allies. And now they're seeking to grab control of the Middle East with all of its invaluable natural and other strategic resources.
