“CNN is reporting now that the Soviets have begun bombing in Syria.”

Not unexpected.

Impeach him. He’s lawless.

Unfortunately, I saw a poll yesterday about PP which said something like 65% of the country supports federal funding for it.

Which tells me that we, as a country, are screwed. The lack of comprehension about major social/political issues is simply astounding.

Which is why impeachment will never happen.

I think we’re basically on the same page FRiend, unfortunately the concepts of force projection (ours), counterforce, etc., are meaningless with that foul sack of Kenyan sh*t stinking up the White House. Because of lil boy Barky, we have zero credibility, and at this point Putin is holding all the high cards which is why we’re seeing this aggressive behavior (cloaked in international ‘concern’) from Moscow.

This is where the Kenny Rogers rule comes into play:

“Hold ‘em”
“Fold ‘em”
“Walk away”

“Run like Hell”

Which one do you think Barky would choose?

(by the way, I’m enjoying our discussion here)

Destroying ISIS is good. Arming ISIS is bad. Right?

Russia gaining a major foothold in the Middle East, on top of their clear plans of retaking Eastern Europe, along with their closer than ever cooperation/alliance with the ChiComs, conducting joint war games and building a major seaport together, all to counter the US and our allies, is bad too, right? KGB/FSB Putin and Russia are not really 'good' guys or our friends, right? Assad has used chemical weapons on civilians, right? Iran has repeatedly threatened to wipe Israel off the map, right? NONE of these bastards are any good, right?

"Bashar al-Assad's regime has reverted to the use of a chemical gas first used at Ypres in the First World War in a series of recent attacks, Western officials believe.

François Hollande, the French president, on Sunday declared the Syrian leader had continued to use chemical weapons on the front line, though he added definite proof had not yet been established.

Officials are examining attacks on at least three towns in the last week where credible reports point to the use of chlorine gas, leaving dozens of people seeking treatment for the symptoms of poisoning. ..."

The correct response to this is to put a couple aircraft carriers and several destroyers in the Black Sea a few miles offshore of Crimea and tell the Russkies to get out.

I would agree, except that Obama isn't fighting on the right side.

As a Gulf War vet, it really pains me to say that, too.

“Impeach him. He’s lawless.”

GOPe took impeachment off the table at the last election.

Plus, there qre not enough Senate votes to convict him, the Dems will rally around their savior, no matter what he does, and the MSM will not turn against him.

Hey, Fighter Pilots, Don’t risk being shot down by Russians...call in sick.
If our military is as great as I think it is, they will find a way to avoid another disaster stumbled into by their utterly lacking Commander in Chief.
How I pray and wish this bumbler POS would follow Boehner out the door.

I doubt the old “Ain’t nobody in here but us chickens” reply will work with the Russians. And Obama was so much counting on it.

the divider in chief cares more about his social policies and social justice than what is right for the country.
Homosexuals, cross dressers, women put into combat units and all done under fake facts.

We don’t put women in the same room as a guy on base for a reason, but we put men with men !!!

Reducing the military while trying to get as many illegals and muslims in the country .

How anyone person with an ounce of sense or brains can actually still think he has been good is beyond me.

So, we let the Bear just take over this province and that defenseless state?

The Soviets tried taking over Afghanistan and that didn't work out so well for them, however the Russians taking over Syria just might be a potential "mission accomplished" photo op for Putin, because unlike Brezhnev, who was in declining health when he ordered the invasion of Afghanistan in '79, Putin appears to be hale and hearty.

Bottom line?

Given a choice between Assad falling and ISIS filling the power vacuum, or Mother Russia and Putin propping up Assad and wiping out ISIS, "I'll go with Door #2, Monty".

All wars are now over, because the pansy boy said so /We pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan , but the pansy forgot to tell the enemy the war is over.
Yes that is how simple pansy boy is and yet the media has never called him out for this or even questioned him.

“I can already see the headlines...”U.S. plane shot down, Russian aircraft suspect”.”

Likely a US plane will be soon be shot down by the Russians. Putin will cause this to happen in order to show the world the US is a paper tiger. Obama will not retaliate against Russia because he knows an all out war with Russia will mean his certain death. Obama will back off demonstrating his own weakness and the weakness of the USA. Actually, he will ignore the personal humiliation because the humiliation of the nation will be gratifying to him.

Putin, having shown Obama and the US are powerless, will move aggressively on other fronts:

1) Securing alliances with the Arab states and Israel, replacing the US.
2) Completing the destruction of the petrodollar in alliance with China, the BRICS, and possibly the EU. Putting an end to petroleum being traded in dollars globally will destroy the dollar’s status as the global reserve currency and result in an economic collapse in the US.
3) Step up cyberwarfare in concert with the Chinese. Full scale cyber attacks to bring down the power grid and destroy US financial institutions are to be expected. Obama will not retaliate.
4) Announce Russia is taking over the “international” space station and will no longer transport US astronauts. Obama may complain but will do nothing.

A capitulation by Obama to Putin in Syria could result in other challenges to US power, which Obama will undoubtedly not respond to with force.

1) Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
2) Terrorist (read Iran) sinking of a US aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf.

The body language in the recent meetings at the UN showed Putin treating Obama as his inferior. It also demonstrated Obama knows it and is powerless to do anything about it. Hence the move on Syria and Obama’s impotency in the face of Soviet expansion.

We have 18 more months of Obama in the White House. Expect 18 months of power diplomacy in which Obama continues to retreat and the US loses its stature as a world leader.

re: Obama having 15 months to facilitate a war

Some would argue that overthrowing heads of government without provocation and imposing economic sanctions on a country that hasn't attacked are acts of war.

Bingo! Someone write up the rational for us being in Syria. There isn’t one.

It is of no strategic value, we have no economic interest there and if Israel had a problem, we would feed them ammo and let them handle it.

Our involvement makes no sense.

Russia has a strategic interest in Syria as it allows them to use one of their ports for fleet operations.

Let them clean up the mess.
