Kudlow, who hosts his own syndicated radio show, has long championed a 15 percent corporate tax rate, but "I never thought I'd see a candidate do it. Special: Not Transferring a Credit Card Balance Is a Big Mistake "It'll give us a gigantic advantage. Bring capital and businesses to the U.S., make us the most hospitable place to invest and that's what Donald Trump has done."
Republicans are currently split over whether to defund Planned Parenthood in the budget talks, even if it could lead to another federal government shutdown. The 16-day partial closing of the government in 2012 cost taxpayers $1.4 billion.
"Nobody likes, really loves, government shutdowns, including me," Kudlow told Malzberg. "I'm not proposing that we have five of them in a row.
"But I will say this, sometimes you have to make a statement, OK? You've got to make a point. You've got to tell people what your beliefs are.
"One of the problems here with the Republican grass-roots is that the base is very angry at the Washington leadership in the House and Senate because it hasn't done what it said it would do: namely, create a bunch of bills like tax reform and Obamacare and energy and immigration, put them on the president, and let him veto it.
"So, then, we go off to 2016," Kudlow added, and that "people, including myself, are frustrated."

This a change for Kudlow since he has dedicated radio shows to dump on Trump.
Here’s my deal. I want Ted Cruz to grab some headlines. I know him, Palin and Trump are friends. I’d like to see Ted jump out there and hopefully grab some media attention and say he would implement the same plan to simplify the tax code.
I agree, and I think it will gel very soon.
If all Cruz can do is be a dittohead to Trump, he is redundant.
Good grief. People can convince themselves of anything.
Perhaps that’s the conspiracy. Trump draws all the Cruz liberal flamethrowers while Ted gets to pass his message. I love the fact that Trump can throw out anti-pc stuff that we most back and take all the hits while his and our running back crosses through the goal line.
Mr Trump has billion dollar businesses to run and he will get back to it.
I don’t think what he did was ditto anything. It was he has principles
And I think you are right about Senator Cruz getting the message out, improving as candidate without the intense scrutiny a conservative such as Cruz would get. He does need to speed up his delivery and work on his stage presence.
As it is now the media does their best to ignore him; however, his courage makes that extremely difficult
I appreciate your enthusiasm for Cruz, but Trump is carrying the water for no one. Anyone could have seized the issues the way DT did, but it didn’t happen. He can “me too” Trump’s positions, but that’s not going to put him out ahead.
Cruz makes it easy to ignore him though. He’s very soft spoken and enjoys lecturing on the Constitution. He just doesn’t have it in him to appeal to a broad audience.
Huh? You have it backwards. Cruz has been at this a while now and is one of the good guys fighting in the trenches. He also speaks in complete sentences.
So, you’re saying you’d like to see Sen Cruz say, “Hi, I’m Sen Ted Cruz and I approve Donald Trump’s excellent Tax Plan”?
That’s a new campaign strategy I’m sure they haven’t thought of :-/
My thoughts, exactly.
Good for Larry. It must make his supply side happy :)
“He also speaks in complete sentences. “
And what’s that going to buy him? Most of the voters don’t...
Right? I can’t even
This only means Trump’s Plan is GOOD. It transcends personality. Its the best thing that has been put forth. Now if Trump can get his “Trumpcare” Up to speed to replace Obamacare—we might have something.
right -- so far Cruz hasn't polled worth squat. Not sure this country really deserves a Ted Cruz. It seems to want celebrities like Obama, Oprah and Trump.
I find it disappointing in that there is a free ride for some people which I firmly believe is in play. I see no downside in having people who have income from private or public funds and using so called public resources such as roads and police protection of all sorts in ponying up some income earned or given as support. I would stop double dippers of pubic jobs and funding of whom there are many.
Cruz needs to have a bit of a Chat with Palin—he needs more color—more of a voice. He can be the Thomas Pain to Trumps Gen. Washington. Get out your Tricorn Hat Cruz! Do more interviews with OANN and come up with a plan on what you would do in office! Topics:
