Do you WIN or LOSE under Trump's tax plan? (Vanity)
Trump's Tax Plan ^ | 9-28-15 | Rkba Democrat

Posted on 09/28/2015 3:51:07 PM PDT by RKBA Democrat

I've been reading the articles and analysis on Donald Trump's tax plan. I've read several articles, and everyone has an opinion as to whether it helps the poor, hurts the poor, if it taxes people enough, whether it's conservative enough....blah, blah, blah.

I couldn't care less what the theoretical impact is on some hypothetical person that exists in someone's imagination. What I care about are MY taxes. I have yet to see any posts or articles where someone takes out their tax return and figures it out. So I did that. I took out a piece of scrap paper and figured it out. It took all of 5 minutes, including the time to find the calculator.

The result: using conservative assumptions my Federal income taxes will go down by 42%.

I LIKE Donald Trump's tax plan! I like it a lot!

Yep. I prefer a national sales tax with elimination of income taxes because then everyone would pay at the register regardless of how they get their, “income”>

Everyone who works an on-the-books job pays taxes. Social security taxes are a sizeable chunk of a workers pay.

Part of why I’d win is that if it’s simple I won’t have to pay someone to do my taxes.

Win - on lower income tax bracket, capital gains tax reduction, and elimination of death taxes.

Only problem is, I wonder what it will look like when Congress gets through with it.

I wonder what Congress will look like when we get through with them?

If Trump reduces the tax burden the feral government imposes on the economy we all win.

Trump tax plan is better for low income and middle class income people which is 85% of population. It gives those people much better UPWARD MOBILITYcompared to a flat rate tax across the board.

Thanks for the link. Before I quit a few years ago, looks like I might have lost some of my deductions. The problem with that is the cost of living in certain areas can’t be taken into consideration.

DOWN and I am willing to give up ALL of my deductions under this plan. Every stinking one of them.

If I spend money I want it to be for things I need and not because of tax advantages or other inducements.

If the national minimum wage goes to $15/hr....

... prepare to see a wave of illegal immigration to make what's happening now look mild.

An unskilled Mexican teenager living in a cardboard box home with parents and three siblings would be insane NOT to try to get up to the U.S. and take on a part-time job as a dishwasher. You can bet your bottom dollar that IF that illegal Mexican gets that job, he'll show up every day whereas the entitlement-minded American teen would blow it off if his boss wanted him to work on Prom might.

I have the same question re deductions of mortgage and health care expenses and legit charities deductions and state/local taxes which are now deductions.

As I posted on another thread., If we pay the same tax $’s, not having to $crew around with the paperwork required now. It will benefit us re less aggravation and time, as well as
the cost.

Also, Trump will be able to fire most of the IRS people when his plan goes in.

I can live with it but I prefer the fair tax.

It is too lenient because over 50% of the people pay no taxes. Everyone should pay something, even if it is just 1%.

Aren’t there like 47% of the US who don’t pay taxes? I work hard so those on welfare won’t have to.

There is NO ONE that should be exempt from taxes. That is part of the problem. People who don’t pay taxes get refunds and they think that we, the taxpayer, owe them something.

And furthermore, that Mexican teen would (as I have seen illegal Mexican immigrant friends and co-workers do in the past) live with others in a dirt-cheap apartment and dutifully send $$ to his family in a third-world cardboard box village.

The minimum wage is at the root of many, many evils in America today, including a piss-poor work ethic in American teens.

That boss would qualify as a jerk.
