The U.S. is offering new details about its plan to ease the Syrian refugee crisis by significantly increasing the number of worldwide refugees it will take in over the next two years.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says the U.S. will accept 85,000 refugees from around the world next year, up from 70,000, and the number will rise to 100,000 in 2017.
Aides to Kerry say that many, though not all, of the additional refugees would be Syrian.
The migrants would be referred by the United Nations, screened by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and resettled around America.
Kerry made the announcement Sunday during a visit to Berlin after meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to discuss the mass migration of Syrians fleeing their civil war.

Why is John Kerry mindlessly spending our tax dollars to transport, house, feed, and clothe so many people, including hidden terrorists? Why does he not provide for them in a Muslim country, maybe their own homeland? Just clear and secure an area in Syria or Iraq and put them there until the hostilities come to an end? Maybe a coalition of local countries could get together to secure the area and end the hostilities.
Maybe China could help by filling its empty cities and apartments with refugees? Maybe Saudi Arabia can help with its 100,000 empty air-conditioned tents.
The experiment in Europe did not work; the Muslims there did NOT assimilate, but have created their own Sharia Law zones. Why compound that problem by adding more "refugees?" Or is the current influx hijra?
What happened to common sense? Kerry has none.
I just saw and heard Brigitte Gabriel say that according to quite a few world-wide reports the number of radical islamacists is 15-25%.
So, for every 100,000 muslims in the US, there are 15,000 - 25,000 radical islamacists.

If I could see all the “refugees” they will admit under this, I would expect to see that the majority of them are young, healthy, fit men.
Germany is already confiscating private property-people’s second houses and apartments, vacation homes, etc-to house the “refugee” overflow they initiated. I just hope that some of the property belongs to the stupid Germans who are meeting them at the train stations with kisses and signs of welcome, and the Austrians who are going to Hungary’s, ect borders and drivng them in their private cars through to Germany and Austria.
I agree. All that the new “security” measures have done is to put the onus on Americans, the government is still dropping Muslims on us by the tractor trailer load.
And to think, back in the mid 1980s Donald Rumsfeld wanted Reagan to resettle two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) Palestinian moslems in the US.
He was turned down.
John Kerry will not be in charge of doo-doo in 2017. He should watch it with the proclamations for this country’s future.
Can’t wait for the STRONG LEADERSHIP of the Republican Congress to stand up to this. /s
