Donald Trump on Kim Davis case: ‘The Supreme Court has ruled’
Washington Times ^ | 09/04/2015 | David Sherfinski

Bottom line, host Joe Scarborough said, is that if Supreme Court makes a decision, that’s the law of land, right?

“You have to go with it,” Mr. Trump said. “The decision’s been made, and that is the law of the land.”

“She can take a pass and let somebody else in the office do it in terms of religious, so you know, it’s a very … tough situation, but we are a nation, as I said yesterday, we’re a nation of laws,” he said. “And I was talking about borders and I was talking about other things, but you know, it applies to this, also, and the Supreme Court has ruled."

Trump AND MANY OTHERS need to learn that the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND is the CONSTITUTION and federal law IN PURSUANCE of the Constitution. (Art VI, Cl 2, U.S. Constitution). Unconstitutional federal acts and laws are NOT the law of the land but are invalid and should be rejected by the people and the states. (Ninth and Tenth Amendments).

THE CONSTITUTION TRUMPS THE FEDS. THE LAW OF THE LAND IS WHAT THE CONSTITUTION SAYS IT IS, NOT WHAT THE FEDS SAY IT IS.

The Donald is not intelligent enough to understand that the USSC has become a lawless court and that in the end they have also declared themselves the final say over the constitution and every branch of the American government. It only takes four Men and Women(mostly activist women) Who have declared themselves king and queens in order to override the rule of law in America.

If he does not understand that the his most major enemy is the infiltrated court system then he has no chance of changing anything. He won’t even get to square one on Imigration until they shut him down.

He said she shouldn’t be in jail.

Now that the faggots are pissing all over the citizens of the State of Kentucky including her county, there REALLY isn’t any reason for her to be in jail.

This is soviet union stuff.

Trump needs to call for her IMMEDIATE RELEASE.

Has Trump called for Obama to resign yet due to his breaking the law? I like Ted Cruz on this issue, he gets it.

The court can and must be neutralized by the addition of six new hard right members.

Nothing in the Constitution sets the number at 9.

Did Trump call for the resignation, arrest and prosecution of, Eric Holder, and his follow up, Barak Obama, Louis Lerner, Hillary Clinton, etc, etc, for their crimes? If we are a nation of laws then those laws apply to everyone or no one at all... So much for the “EQUAL PROTECTION CLAUSE” Kim Davis should demand Obama be put in jail for failure to uphold the laws he doesn’t like....

It’s bad enough that nep nep was saying Davis was wrong for not quitting, but he and others were snarking at her previous marriages, as in what kind of a Christian is that? Completely ignoring the fact that she came to Christ after all that.

Then worst of all, they accuse Davis of being a plant deliberately trying to set back conservatism.

Sorry, that’s not the law in question.

There is no distinction between men and women when it comes to a marriage license.
Both “sexes” are treated the same way.
Both men and women, of legal age, can obtain a marriage license.
Try again, and this time use the text from a Kentucky state law.

Trump has stated he is a “rule of law” candidate (see immigration, see iran deal)

Now does this preclude some OTHER legal solution?

Whoever is president, would they pardon her?

Wow, thanks....I hadn’t seen any of that from him, glad he is gone!

Did that happen on this thread too?

That would make it 4 that I know of on this thread alone.

The problem is not that the clerk is not following the law, THE COURTS ARE MAKING UP THE LAW. THEY HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO DO SO!!! If anyone should be quitting their jobs, it is the judges!!!!

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s been many years since I took Civics but I believe the solution to this is legal. Kim Davis missed a great opportunity when she did not resign and take her case to the courts and the media.

I don’t know that there are any restrictions on who a president can pardon. Current and former presidents have pardons some serious felons.

The judge is used the status of “elected office”.

She has lost on all court levels. That said, the legislature can fix this with a swoop of the pen and they SHOULD. Why is nobody going after them? We want a solution not another protest issue.

Thanks, but don't waste your time. I'm sure everything you wrote is accurate.
