I, too, am a Trump fan. All along I’ve maintained Cruz as my favorite choice, but Trump as my most likely to succeed choice. Both were my favorites to tear down this GOP-E.
Now Trump has made a misstep. Personally, I don’t think what his guard did is an issue about what Trump believes. Nor am I real concerned about the Hugh Hewitt mini-interview. I do think Hewitt was tossing out the names of foreign leaders and groups in an effort to have exactly the conversation that they had. Trump is not a detail guy. He’s a delegator. So what? He’s made a gazillion bucks using that methodology, and I heard him say it works for him. Obviously it does.
The Kim Davis case does get to what Trump believes. I don’t think it is a clear view, because I do think Trump was focused this week on the Bush attacks and on the pledge signing. If he says he hasn’t been following the case, then he had some valid reasons this past week.
But, I do think he has let slip that he’s like a lot of those using FR these days, he believes the Supreme Court has the ability to make law. You can read the constitution frontwards and backwards, twice a day from now until kingdom come, but you won’t find anything in there about the Supreme Court making law.
Nor will anyone find an ‘infallibility’ clause. They make mistakes...huge ones if abortion and Dred Scott are any indication. They pulled the Obergefell pro-homosexualist marriage verbiage out their ass. That’s what makes it one of the seminal mistakes of American history.
Also, evidently Trump doesn’t understand the difference between “free exercise” and “freedom to worship’. Nor does he understand Article VI of the Constitution.
So, he has made some serious mistakes. How can he fix them? He can say: *** Let me clarify: Scotus ruled, but that doesn’t mean we can’t fight that ruling, and it doesn’t mean we can’t help anyone injured by it until we get it fixed.

He was a fan at noon and hates the guy with white hot passion an hour later. He has his excuses. Believe them if you want.
That’s not what I said. The personal business of the baker is more clear cut, at least to me. If you own a business you should be free to market to whatever clientele you wish. Being a baker does not give everyone the right to demand you bake a cake for them. Working for the gov’t or being a public servant is a little different, you give up control somewhat or find something else to do.

Unfortunately Cruz caved to the Corker Amendment and now the only way we are going to stop Iran from nuking Israel is if we or Israel nuke them first.
Cruz abandoned the Treaty Clause by his vote which gave Obama unlimited power to surrender to Iran. His excuse for that vote was unacceptable. His vote for TPP was just as bad and his excuse for that was just as lame.

Our founders were deeply religious men and this nation would never have been born without the convictions of the founders that God's providential hand was guiding them.
It wasn't until the late 1950's that people got the idea that the first amendment prohibited such things as prayer in school or prayers by the coaches of a football team before a game.
The courts have steered this country into a position where it is now a crime to have a religious conviction. People who read and believe Romans Chapter 1 are now in danger of losing their ability to get a job or keep one.
We are supposed to be a government of the people, by the people and for the people. But at this point in history, Christians need not apply.

Not necessarily. He won't be CEO of a company putting in some high rise. His companies have filed for bankruptcy four times. Trump has many strengths as a business man and has run things with successes and failures but zero political experience.
I do like Trump for his willingness to fight and his stand on immigration. The fact Trump has no political experience allows many to see what they want to see. The same thing happened with Obama.
Trump is being exposed for who he is: a shallow man with a big ego and a big mouth, who doesn’t understand the Constitution. This is not a man to rely on.

I'll also add something else: marriage is so broken in this country that not even straight folks are doing it right, with divorce rates being extremely high, and fornication (sex before marriage) being nearly universal. Gay marriage didn't break the institution of marriage, it was just the last straw of a national pretension to marriage.

You won't have any American values if your candidate gives legal status to 40 million illegals or pushes through these Trade agreements. That'll increase the Democrat vote by at least another 9 or 10 percent, and that number will only accelerate in the future. That's the irony of you accusing people of having a "hatred of values." You guys are perfectly okay or at least ignorant of what your candidate holds regarding illegal immigration, but that's clearly a bigger issue than whether some government official should do her job or not.
That said, reading the entirety of Trump's quotes, they don't seem all that bad to me.
You are correct. And that authority comes from those who elected her. You can’t simply assign it to someone else and avoid responsibility for it.
