What Cruz did on TPA as an elected official is far worse than Trump refusing to get pulled into this issue. Yet the one issue warriors and Cruz supporters refuse to see that.

Yup, these "principled" conservatives will throw Trump overboard so they can get in bed with mass legalization and other madness.

I'll also add something else: marriage is so broken in this country that not even straight folks are doing it right, with divorce rates being extremely high, and fornication (sex before marriage) being nearly universal. Gay marriage didn't break the institution of marriage, it was just the last straw of a national pretension to marriage.

As opposed to your principled stand to ignore the very purpose America was founded on? Freedom of Religion and pushback against imperial tyrants?

Because you don’t get to have it both ways. If it wasn’t for you ‘no matter what idiots, we’d have a congress that actually fought for American values. Instead your hatred of principle helped elect all but about 5 people that are in full measure, liberal democrats.
