A Washington state police officer will not face criminal charges after shooting two unarmed black men suspected of trying to steal beer from a supermarket, a prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday.
Officer Ryan Donald, a three-year veteran of the police department in the state capital Olympia, told investigators the men had no weapons during the May incident.
But one of them tried to pull him to the ground while the other raised his skateboard above his head “as if to strike him” and that he issued a verbal warning before opening fire, the police department said.
No charges will be brought against Donald because his use of force was justified, said Anne Larsen, a spokeswoman for the Thurston County prosecuting attorney said.
“The officer acted in good faith and without malice,” Larsen said. …

Yes, skateboard is a weapon in that situation if that’s how the scene played out. As in most of these cases without video, there is only one side to tell.

Raising the skateboard is likely display behavior; like a cat arching its back and hissing. Display behavior is intended to avoid a fight by appearing to be too tough to tackle. It’s the wrong response when facing a cop with a gun. The cop, especially now, must assume he’ll be beaten if he does not respond. Also, the cop is required to stop the theft. It’s part of the job.
Do these blacks who regularly commit crimes know that cops are the only ones keeping them alive? Because what happens when police are rare is that vigilante justice usually takes over, like in Venezuela, Mexico or Brazil and pretty much around the world where mobs will chase down a thief, surrounds them and then proceed to break every bone in their body with baseball bats, then they burn them alive. They even do it to women, I saw them do it to a woman in Venezuela who robbed a taxi driver. Do these black thugs *really* wants to “F tha Pohleese”?

This whole “unarmed” thing is supremely intellectually dishonest in so many ways. Micheal Brown of Ferguson was quite dangerous, at 6’-9” and 280#, despite not possessing a firearm. Which he was trying to obtain by taking officer Darren Wilson’s.

I saw a few videos on Documenting reality website, and one of them, woooo... as vicious as it gets, this guy who was they say was accused of rape in Venezuela and it just goes on and on and on. 50 people treating this guy basically like a human pinata, literally beating him into a pile of mush then burning him alive, then burning him again and again with gasoline, that mob mentality where people turn into absolutely the worst kind of vicious animals like something from Lord of the flies. These thugs here going around saying “F tha police” “pigs in a blanket, kill the police” would be screaming, crying and absolutely begging for the police if they ever found themselves the target of a vigilante mob like that.

Lived in Mexico for almost 10 years, mobs are quite common down there. Police just watch it go down and sometimes laugh about it.
