The Ashley Madison hack ruined my life
CNN Money ^ | 8/23/2015 | Jose Pagliery

The Ashley Madison hack is indeed ripping apart marriages.

It's exposing affairs, confirming suspicions, and keeping cheaters up at night in cold sweats.

Several people who were directly affected by the data breach of the cheating website AshleyMadison.com have reached out to CNNMoney. Their identities and details have been independently verified, but they have spoken on condition of anonymity.

The mistress

"Ana" is a highly educated business woman in her 40s who is finalizing a divorce with her husband.

She stayed up late Thursday rapidly texting eight married men with whom she had relationships after finding them on Ashley Madison.

She said the men are all worried their wives will use search tools now available online to find the email addresses they used to sign up for the cheating site.

Meanwhile, Ana is concerned about her job in finance. Her clients are couples and small businesses.

Ifa state has no fault divorce they have generallygotten rid of the laws of fault divorce, so any liability forcheaters to be held accountable is gone. Now if they pass an std along that could be gone after under a different charge.

You can’t create an email exclusively for cheating?

I’ve created emails just to read an online article.

Can't they track you to the computer you used to set up the account? Hmmm...maybe from the public library...

People did use fake names and profiles. But their credit card data and address is usually in their own name, and that got exposed, too.

But isn't Hotmail free, so no credit card needed since they don't bill you? OH, I see, you mean Ashley Madison's billing...so it would be safe to set up an account from another computer with which to wreak havoc at DU and Huf'n'Puf?

Josh just made their job a cake walk. In fact Josh not only has ruined 19 Kids and Counting but maybe even the Family Research Council.

Josh? Who is this Josh?

Definitely, they need sluts to sign up since the registrations are 20 to 1 men to women. I wonder if eight is a typical hookup number for one of the females.

“One of Ronald Reagan’s great regrets is that when he was governor of California, he signed the first “no-fault” divorce bill into law, and it was soon copied by the rest of the states.”

Sounds like Reagan, like Trump, ‘evolved’ away from liberalism. Good to hear, as people try to tear down Trump over his past.

A couple of comments on EZPass.

They have a similar system here in Houston, and they also read the transponders on the FREEWAYS (just look up, under an overpass).

Also, license plate cameras are so good now that there’s no need to even need a transponder. I have no clue how prevalent they are, where they’re located, or where the data is stored (or what, if any, protections there are), but I now assume that I’m being tracked from the moment that I leave my driveway.

(on the flip side, I wouldn’t mind having the system installed in the entrance to my neighborhood, might surprise some bad guys when the cops show up at their place before they even make it home with the loot)

I know of at least one prominent man- Jeff Ashton (prosecutor in Casey Anthony case) here in Orlando. He’s been outed and is holding a press conference this afternoon.

Not true. The laws are still on the books in at least 30 jurisdictions but it's much more expensive to litigate fault than it is to go for a no-fault and just fight over the property.

This list isn't entirely accurate. It shows Louisiana as not having fault grounds, and that isn't accurate.

Someone said to me back in 1997 or ‘98 that in the future privacy and anonymity would be more prized and sought after than fame and wealth. Back then I thought ‘How strange’.

Most adultery laws have been repealed. Adultery has been removed as a cause for divorce by most states.

Which shows politicians can get things done when it benefits themselves.
