Sounds like Reagan, like Trump, ‘evolved’ away from liberalism. Good to hear, as people try to tear down Trump over his past.
Exactly. So he did.
There is no perfect candidate. Trump has many excellent points, very much needed at this time, and I'm willing to deal with his downsides if he is nominated in order to get his proven skills as a developer, employer, financial manager, and executive.
His liberal past also makes him more attractive to Democrats and swing voters IMO, which would help offset the purists won't stoop to vote for anyone less than conservative gold standard, no matter how bad it gets when they help elect Democrats by refusing to vote for (in their view) a flawed GOP ticket.
