The Ashley Madison hack ruined my life
CNN Money ^ | 8/23/2015 | Jose Pagliery

The Ashley Madison hack is indeed ripping apart marriages.

It's exposing affairs, confirming suspicions, and keeping cheaters up at night in cold sweats.

Several people who were directly affected by the data breach of the cheating website AshleyMadison.com have reached out to CNNMoney. Their identities and details have been independently verified, but they have spoken on condition of anonymity.

The mistress

"Ana" is a highly educated business woman in her 40s who is finalizing a divorce with her husband.

She stayed up late Thursday rapidly texting eight married men with whom she had relationships after finding them on Ashley Madison.

She said the men are all worried their wives will use search tools now available online to find the email addresses they used to sign up for the cheating site.

Meanwhile, Ana is concerned about her job in finance. Her clients are couples and small businesses.

Very important to liberals to make the distinction between the "good" urban liberal types and white trash conservatives

You know, that really does tell you the difference between liberals and conservatives.

They consider an NPR-listening homewrecker with a B.A. to be superior to a clean-living waitress living in a trailer.

Oh, yeah, I’m sure they’d agree with that in a poll 99 to 1.

this vicious vice is treated so lightly by the MSM and possibly society in general.

One of Ronald Reagan's great regrets is that when he was governor of California, he signed the first "no-fault" divorce bill into law, and it was soon copied by the rest of the states."No-fault" was promoted by marxist legal "reformers" as a way to cut down on expensive litigation over matters like adultery or spousal abuse; but it has ended up a gold mine for lawyers and has effectively removed immorality from consideration with regard to custody of the children. Under "no-fault", a mother or a father who cheats is legally on equal footing with the faithful partner, denying any sense of justice for the victim of the breaking of the marriage.

You can’t create an email exclusively for cheating?

I’ve created emails just to read an online article.

As Hillary found out, convenience isn’t everything.

How is this different than meeting someone at the bar?

There isn't any pretense of "wanting to get to know someone" or "looking for a serious relationship leading to marriage" or "not being that kind of a girl", or even "who pays for drinks or dinner." It's just frankly about hooking up for sex, and a foregone understanding that it's for married people who want to commit adultery.

They will most likely lose their security clearances for being a blackmail risk. And keep in mind, the people who sweep the floors in federal buildings and military bases have to have a security clearance.

the only sympathy I have is for the spouses of those that used the site.....I have never been married but if I had been married and my spouse had used that sight it would devastate me.

One of the most widely successful television series was entirely devoted to cheating wives. aka, “Desperate Housewives’’.

I preferred the TV show "Cheaters". Love to watch them get busted.

Yep. One big thing that I see: guys treating their wives like the hired help around the house and women blaming their husbands (and belittling him to EVERYBODY) for not creating a millionaire’s standard of living for them. Lots of immaturity on both sides.

Just HOW stupid do you have to be to not use a throwaway email for sites lite this?

People did use fake names and profiles. But their credit card data and address is usually in their own name, and that got exposed, too.

Oh yeah. Getting an account on AM is stupid enough. You’ve gotta have rocks in your head the size of Gibraltar to use your work e-mail address. Using your regular e-mail address that everybody knows about is just about as dumb.

[Liberals] consider an NPR-listening homewrecker with a B.A. to be superior to a clean-living waitress living in a trailer.

You totally nailed that.

Yep, I consider “Cheaters” to be educational. Think you won’t get caught? Let’s take a look at the gallery of people on the show who thought they were in the clear, too. And the show isn’t even using high-tech methods. If the wife gets serious, she can see everything.
