The media can’t stop talking about the crowds Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is attracting. There are reports that his crowds in California and Portland, Oregon were both larger than 27,000. They breathlessly report on this, while forgetting to mention Sanders is a self-described socialist.
But what Donald Trump and his campaign has planned for TONIGHT in Mobile, Alabama could blow those numbers out of the water. Initially planning for a rally of 2,000 people at a small venue, tickets were grabbed so quickly that major changes had to be made.
Now, the event will be held in the Ladd-Peeles Stadium, a football stadium where the yearly Senior Bowl is played. More than 30,000 people have been confirmed to attend, and the stadium capacity is over 40,000. The free tickets are still being claimed at a fast pace, and show no signs of slowing down!
To put that in perspective, that’s bigger than the largest crowd of President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign, when Oprah Winfrey joined him in South Carolina! That means this Trump event will smash through crowd records effortlessly!
With his next campaign stop being in Alabama, its only fitting that presidential candidate Donald Trump is going to rally up supporters in a jam-packed football stadium.
City officials have confirmed to News 5 the location for Donald Trumps pep rally in Mobile on Friday night has been moved to Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Its the same venue used for the Senior Bowl and University of South Alabama home games.
Its due to an overwhelming response, said Kayla Farnon, spokeswoman for the Alabama Secretary of States Office. More than 30,000 people have been confirmed to attend.
News 5 is told Trumps campaign has gone the extra mile to make the event as accommodating as possible. Parking will be free, WAVE shuttles to the stadium will be provided, and there will be concession stands for food and drinks.
Trumps campaign is fronting most, if not the entire bill for the event, including paying the overtime accumulated by Mobile city workers.

Here is a picture of the massive venue:
Good point, this election could very well be the revolt against the elitist....both sides.
Wouldn't be the first time in history......
Yea I agree, A lot of people showing up for Sanders are people sick to death of Hillary...
Hillary has a bad habit of not paying her bills.
Bless you, and ALL who attend one of these PP protests. I am going to be traveling and will not be able to make one :(
My prayers are with EVERYONE attending one of these.
I`m definitely beginning to warm to him-Cruz/Trump, could be.You contradicted yourself, but you don't mind if it will help the helpless.----
Well I don`t trust The Don so that settles that on my vote.
Yes, this is the kind of country we live in. Prayers for Trump and his family and staff are in order.
Timeline:
4:00pm (CDT): Shuttles begin from Civic Center and Ladd Peebles Stadium
5:00pm (CDT): Doors Open
7:00pm (CDT): Public Program Begins
Question: Why is this in CDT? I thought Alabama was in the Eastern time zone?
RE: Good point, this election could very well be the revolt against the elitist....both sides.
Well, if comes down to Trump vs. Sanders, this is going to be a REAL test case of what this country is going to be like for the next generation.
If Sanders wins with his HONEST and UN-APOLOGETIC socialist platform. I have to say, kiss the American we once knew goodbye.
Current Mobile radar. Ladd Stadium is just south of where the + is. Hope the rain holds off...
The organizers should be on the lookout for rolled-up banners and signs. Extremist left astroturfers like to show at opposition rallies and display racist signs in order to impute that position onto the crowd. It was very prevalent at the tea party rallies.
Geraldo just said he thinks Trump will win the Republican nominee. Says he is unstoppable.
That’s troubling.
The kiss of death?
“Sanders is drawing crowds of that magnitude??”
We are talking California and Oregon. To me that’s no surprise.
Oh he said he does not agree with his policies, but he thinks he will revised his policies over time.
They could have 50000 and MSM will probably just report that “1000’s attended a Trump rally”
Excellent post !
