Trump on Rowdy Town Hall Meeting: 'These Are My People'
Newsmax ^ | August 19, 2015 | Greg Richter

Donald Trump held his first town hall meeting Wednesday night before a rowdy Derry, New Hampshire crowd that cheered, chimed in and booed when he mentioned his presidential rivals.

"These are my people," a gleeful Trump said.

Jeb Bush, the establishment favorite, was nine miles away holding a simultaneous town hall event, and Trump couldn't help but comment on the man who's crown he appears — at least for now — to have taken and whom he has described as an unenthusiastic candidate.

"Right down the road we have Jeb. Very small crowd," Trump said. "We have 2,500. … There are other rooms, overflow rooms all over the building."

As various members of the crowd shouted out support, Trump said, "I love these rowdy crowds. Isn't it great? This is spirit. There's spirit. … You know what's happening to Jeb's crowd, as you know, right down the street? They're sleeping."

Even the major cable news networks, including Fox, CNN and MSNBC, carried Trump's town hall live, while only briefly dipping in to Bush's event.

Pointing to Bush's support for Common Core, Trump noted that "Jeb was supposed to do well in New Hampshire. How the hell does he do well?"

Common Core,, "means your children are going to be educated by the bureaucrats in Washington. I think New Hampshire wants to educate their children locally

When questions began, one man asked Trump why he didn't have more policy positions on his website than the recently added position on immigration.

Trump he will putting out policy positions, but he wants to make sure they have flexibility.

"I have made a lot of great deals," he said. "I don't sit down and say, 'I will mark down 14 points'. … When you do 14 points, you know the second point may change."

The pundits say Trump is taking the air out the room for the other candidate but I think the air is gravitating to him.

“I have made a lot of great deals,” he said. “I don’t sit down and say, ‘I will mark down 14 points’. … When you do 14 points, you know the second point may change.”

Trump knows negotiating 101. I’ve done commercial real estate and business startups the last 35 years and I understand Trump’s method. Trump is apparently a fanatic about reading contracts, which is impressive. While we might not like all of Trump’s positions, he would get things done. If we keep the house and senate, that might not be so bad.

I’m still for Cruz, but it may take 4 years of Trump to break the GOPe.

Trump is very familiar with the concept of winning.

Trump would be well-advised to do campaign events w/ tough-talking
Wisconsin Sheriff Dave Clarke by his side. Clarke is considered a rock
star in conservative circles. Clark could be dynamic VP material.

Milwaukee’s tough-talking black sheriff, David Clarke, argued this week that white Americans have “made great strides” in healing race relations, and that sooner or later they’re going to grow tired of having their noses “rubbed in the past sins of sins of slavery." (Fox News via The Daily Surge)...

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke didn’t pull any punches in his assessment of the Rev. Al Sharpton — who vowed to keep fighting for justice for slain Ferguson teen Michael Brown, despite the feds’ decision to drop a civil rights investigation — and characterized him on national television as less than intelligent and unworthy of respect.

“The grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, got it right,” Sheriff Clarke said, during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.” “Officer [Darren] Wilson has been exonerated. The thing I want to know is how does he get his reputation back?”

Sheriff Clarke then directed anger at Mr. Sharpton, who spoke sharply in the wake of Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision not to prosecute Mr. Wilson, a former police officer, on civil rights charges.

CLARKE “I don’t expect anything intelligent to come out of the mouth of Al Sharpton,” Sheriff Clarke said, Mediaite reported. “We know he is a charlatan. Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from. The police officer is owed a lot from him, Eric Holder and the president of the United States.”

I think that’s true, however, LBJ was a master at getting his way with Congress. He was a big bully.

Rowdy?

Not hardly.

Yes, there were a few who yelled stuff. Some yelled in opposition. Some yelled in support. But it certainly wasn't rowdy.

One of the best parts was Trump responding to a question from a very young male who sounded about elementary school age:

Another was Trump talking about his donors:
