Donald Trump says the last time America was great was during the administration of Ronald Reagan.
Donald Trump was on NBCs Meet the Press Sunday and told Chuck Todd that it was during the Reagan Administration, you felt really proud. I dont think since then to any great extent, people were proud.

Tyger, the devil won’t damn himself and neither will anyone who is following on one of his winds.
After reading the Comments on this Thread, I am beginning to think that we are losing sight of who the true enemy of America is, and it isn’t any Republican Contender including Trump. (Yes, I know Jeb sucks) LOL
Are minds being changed by this constant back and forth Posting by Trump Supporters and Haters? Don’t think so.
I’ve lost count of the Threads, but it’s getting very old.
Allow me to list our Enemies.
The DNC and every Candidate they support.
Need a laugh, look at the CNN Video of Hillary at the Iowa State Fair. She lies answering the first question.
Carry on. Just my $.02. Your mileage may vary.
Of course he won't, but it is lots of fun to point out the dodge when he's running a game of "Three Card Monte." ;)
Or shell game
Some Republican contenders ARE selling out on various things.
This is what has been accused of Trump, too — however Trump seems to have the uncanny ability to know what is most important and being right on that. Trump is not offering decoration, but substance.
My entire point was that Obama promised to do a lot of damage to this nation through “hope & change” and “change has come to America”.
He delivered.
He delivered despair and more wallowing in the worst aspects of America... that is hope and change?
They will fall by the wayside unless they up their game.
I’m 62 Years Old and I have no recollection of seeing anything like this within the Republican Party.
Pushing for a huge, across-the-board tax cut in the final year of his life, President John F. Kennedy dismissed the idea that it would increase the debt in the long run: By removing tax roadblocks to new jobs and new growth, he declared, the enactment of this measure next year will eventually more than make up in new revenue all that it will initially cost.
When assessing the legacy of President Kennedy 50 years after his death, journalist Ira Stoll makes the case that Kennedy wasnt what we think: The title of his new book JFK, Conservative says it all.
Stoll lays out Kennedys fierce anti-communism, his religious devotion (he gave faith-based speeches of a kind Michele Bachmann might consider extreme today) and his advocacy for low deficits, a strong dollar, free trade, tax cuts, free enterprise and individual responsibility. If JFK were here today, he would either have to renounce most of what he stood for or join the Republican party.

“Oh, dear God, someone get the men with the nets. This is getting out of hand.”
You shall see - just this weekend it is now becoming evident that Megan is in the past and Trump’s border policies may well put him at 50% by Labor Day.
Unless Trump really steps in it, the nomination contest is now essentially over, even if he gets excluded from the debates.
And the BIGGEST SURPRISE is how many white, working class, people switch from supporting Democrats to supporting him...and possibly a fair number of blacks too. Trump is getting very close to having landslide support, next November.
Those are his words, not mine.
That SOB delivered hell and he promised it.
And I say he did not deliver either hope or (in any good sense) change.
What is so incorrect about that observation?
All you are telling us is that the people who saw through his lies were right.
How is that for “delivering what he promised.”
The devil doesn’t promise evil. The devil promises good things, albeit worked by evil means, in the wrong way.
“And you were expecting an immediate miracle after the 60s and 70s?”
No. I wasn’t expecting anything. The 80’s were good years. But Reagan could only do so much, and in my opinion wasn’t conservative enough.
He was definitely no Eisenhower, who happened to be one of the greatest presidents the U.S. has ever had. I pulled the lever for him in 1956 and it was a proud day. Stevenson was an absolute moonbat at the time and another typical Chicago political dingbat (aka. governor), and it’s amazing the democrats put him into the ring against Ike...twice.
It’s really very simple.
I am a conservative on a conservative website. I support a conservative for president.
You support a self-described Democrat.
You ACTUALLY have the gall to say that Trump naming himself as one is “good political wisdom”, and expect to be able to call yourself a conservative. In fact, you are nothing of the kind.
Not anymore, and regardless of what you used to be. A person who makes statements like that is, by definition, a Democrat.
You’re just one more pathetic, desperate example of a person who is willing to throw his principles to the wind to support Trump. You twist yourself into knots trying to somehow justify yourself, but it can’t be done. And in the process, look what you have become.
It’s as simple and as straightforward as that, and you can try to muddy the waters with talk, but it all comes back to that in the end.
I suspect the reason some of you fly into rages when someone challenges your hero is because, deep down, you know the truth, but you’re fighting hard to keep it suppressed.
Enjoy it now, because it’s not going to end well, one way or another. Either Trump will flame out and your heart will be broken and you’ll try to forget you ever posted these things (too late), or Trump will somehow win the nomination and be the disaster clear-headed conservatives recognize him to be.
And unless you come back to your senses, you’ll deserve every bit of it.
