Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Republican presidential candidate and former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon Ben Carson discussed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s comments about Megyn Kelly “bleeding.”
Carson said, “Well, I think that may be difference between political correctness and courteous speech. There is a difference. What bothers me is when people say, you know, you can’t say this word, you can’t say this phrase, you can’t even think that, you can’t express this. And it’s very difficult for people to have honest conversation if they can’t express themselves. But no way do I advocate saying mean things about people. that has nothing to do with political correctness.”
He added, “I haven’t heard his specific comments but I’ve heard about them. and they certainly would not be the kinds of things that I would engage in.”

Ben Carson seems like a very good, smart man.
Why can’t these idiots just say “Trump is going to say what he’s going to say. I have no idea how he means it and it’s not important to me. What’s important is.....”
Carson is a nice guy but Trump’s response was appropriate give the context. At least in my opinion it was. I am tired of weak, scaredy-cat leaders.
That is a good answer from Carson. He didn't condemn Trump and he didn't let himself get pulled into the specifics.
I really wish our candidates would confront the press on why they are being asked to comment on another politician's comments. The Democrats are never asked to comment on another Democrat's comments.

Trump sounds like a second grader. Or perhaps a middle schooler. “Criticize me? Well, you’re a disgusting loser, so there!”
Mr. Carson is a gun grabber.
