We’re pretty much there.
We'll alert you when Donald finally says something 'mean'.
I cut him a lot of slack, but this is not the way Dr. Carson - the media lies constantly.
Carson made one “gun grabby” comment about cities and rural areas having different standards. He retracted it and has made many strong statements against gun control and about the importance of the 2nd Amendment to prevent tyranny. IIRC, he said he favored citizens being able to own fully automatic weapons. Not 100% sure if we should trust him on the issue, but it is possible he hadn’t given gun rights a whole lot of thought as a doctor and has come to see the light.
Trump wrote in his book that he favored a ban on “assault weapons” and a 3 day waiting period for all gun purchases. He also blasted the Republican party for “walking the NRA line” and opposing “even limited restrictions”. He also now says he is pro gun.
I don’t know if we should trust either or both. Personally, I am more confident in Carson than Trump on guns. YMMV.
Ted Cruz has a consistent, excellent record on guns and every issue I am aware of, so he is my first choice.
Don’t tell me Dr. Carson, you don’t understand political correctness. What was done to Donald Trump was straight out of the PC playbook.
I like Carson. But he is simply not the right guy for the job at this moment in time. He’d get so rolled by the media it’d be over in one news cycle. Simply too nice of a guy
I love Ben Carson, he’s a very smart and principled person. He’s just demonstrated that, like Mitt , he’ too nice to engage in the blood sport that is both presidential politics and foreign relations. Because I am a Christian I probably wouldn’t say some of the things that Donald says either, but that’s maybe that’s why I am not in politics.... Unfortunately in politics and war nice guys finish last if they finish at all....
If he was a brilliant political man he would read the transcript and watch the interview for himself before slamming the remarks
Sounds a little too self righteous for an uninformed bystander
Trump is not conservative. He’s a self-promoting celebrity. I CANNOT believe how many people are falling for this shtick.
Lol!
Carson showed himself to be a thoughtful, well spoken gentleman. I like him.
I’m glad he is not taking the bait to attack Trump. I wouldn’t say some of the things Trump says, but I don’t like the way his opponents are piling on while ignoring the things he is saying that matter. It makes them all smaller. The media I understand, they’ll do anything to avoid talking about things that matter.
Every candidate that attacks Trump steps down a notch in my eyes. Cruz has avoided the temptation. Carson has said what he had to say in a very gentle way.
Excuse me, but what exactly did Trump say that was uncalled for after he’d been attacked? This whole thing is about political correctness, attacks on men being men, and women’s attitude that they have the right to attack a man but not visa versa? Sick of it.
Carson, down a notch for me.
Donald Trump has a very strong following. After weeks of non-stop Trump coverage by the media, a meteoric rise in the polls, and a debate performance watched by 24 million Americans, his candidacy is now receiving 23% support from Republicans.
Bernie Sanders also has a very strong following. After little coverage in the media, a healthy rise in the polls, and no opportunity to speak before 24 million Americans, his candidacy is receiving 19% support from Democrats.
There’s much more of a chance for Bernie Sanders to move up in the polls since he’s a relative unknown than for Donald Trump to do so since he’s been so overexposed by the media virtually everyone knows who he is and has an opinion about him.
Yet no one is predicting that Bernie Sanders will win the Democratic nomination while everyone seems to be predicting Donald Trump will win the Republican one. That makes no sense.
Donald Trump is stuck at 23% approval from Republicans, and every time he lashes out at a rival candidate like Carly Fiorina he loses the chance to inherit her supporters, who now account for 10% of Republicans following Thursday’s debate, if she should drop out of the race.
The future looks bright for the three Republicans who gained support in the polls as a result of their performances at the debate — Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina — but Donald Trump’s star looks more likely than ever to fade.
Some of us aren’t. Some of us are just enjoying watching him giving everything and everybody that have to do with D.C. the “Hot Foot”.
If we could combine Trump with Carson, we’d have the perfect candidate.
The ultimate good cop, bad cop.
A little bit—claiming that he “hasn’t heard” the comments, but condemning Trump for them on national TV anyway.
Yeah, I clicked on a thread with a title of "Trump Responds to Fiorina", or some such. I guess the response will be added to the upcoming volume of "The Wit and Wisdom of Donald Trump", which will consist of hundreds of pages of retorts that consist of "(fill in the blank) is a loser!"
